In their own words
I would not recommend Atlanta Flat Rate Movers. Based on my experience, they changed terms during the move, provided invoices/balances that varied, and made it very difficult to get one clear final itemized amount to release my belongings. The most stressful part was that the terms changed after the move had already started, which left me in a bad position and forced me to bring in someone else to help complete the situation.
Horrible customer service and I can go into detail as to why. The movers came out late I booked for 2-4pm they did not arrive until 6pm. The movers came arrived and complained and sucked his teeth about not having time although they were booked for a specific time slot. I was told that the service came with furniture protection however it did not.

Worst move ever. They started out at the final destination location two hours away which delayed our move for five plus hours and gave us less time to clean old house for new owner. They cannot take care or put furniture back together despite our efforts to ask them to be careful with our high quality furniture. They didn’t use all hardware so all bed pieces are loose and could fall at any time. They didn’t care. Period.

Atlas Movers in conjunction with Sunshine Movers ( apparently a subcontractor) played a nasty bait and switch game with a close friend who is on a fixed income. They basically low-balled a quote and through engineered miscommunication with their subcontractor, bumped her fees from 3k to 5.6k and forced the move of her property by not responding to her protests on the increased fee and delaying return calls so that she moved past her policy based 72 hr cancelation period.

terrible service, bad communication, wasn’t on time & didn’t contact me to let me know! damaged my furniture because they didn’t secure it like a professional moving company. they were so disrespectful and inconsiderate! i wouldn’t recommend anyone to go with them! never again!!!!!!

Worst moving company ever. I decided to go with them because they were cheaper but you get exactly what you paid for. 5 guys for 5 hours at $1500 and then $265/hr for each additional hour. I ended up paying close to $2000. Be ware of hidden charges of anything with glass like China cabinet I was charged extra $60 per packing item. Also, they will take stuff apart but will not put everything back like it was before.

I’ve moved three times all with different movers. I used Atlanta flat rate movers this time and I received excellent service and quoted prices. Nolan and Emmanuel were very efficient, careful and friendly. There was construction on the Saturday I moved so traffic was like on a Friday with wrecks. Long story short they beat me home. I’ll only use this company again and if I’m lucky I’ll get the same crew. My first review

I hired AtL flat rate movers to move an entire bedroom set from Marietta to Smyrna that had spent 6 weeks being painted and cured (delicate). The guys were amazing. Very careful and courteous and efficient. Could not have gone better. Thank you Nolan and Team. Kathy
