I strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this moving company. My experience has been nothing short of deceptive and stressful. What began as a straightforward interstate move quickly turned into a nightmare of shady practices, hidden fees, and poor communication. Despite agreeing on a clear estimate and payment terms in writing, the movers failed to show up at the scheduled time.

I have posted on trustpilot regarding the way this company performed as a moving and storage company. Very unprofessional on all aspects when trying to resolve issues from miscommunication every way of dealing with problems no uniformative way of working for the customer. There partners or sister company are just as bad, they have no agenda to work to. They take the money but don’t take the feedback very well. Do not use this company or any sister company, if you want to have a stressful life then use this company.
Dear Michael, As stated in our response on Trustpilot your review is about experience with other company ( ANYVAN as you mentioned in your review ) . We are Moving & Storage company located in Brooklyn , New York USA - Not in United Kingdom.
The movers/packers were great. A little slow, even with me trying to help out. But the whole pricing system is intentionally very confusing and I ended up paying almost three times what I expected to pay based off their initial quotes. They provide an hourly rate plus a fat fee for packing and unpacking, but there was a lot more on top of that. The packing and unpacking were charged as two different fees and not together like they first explained. Unless you have bottomless pockets, find someone else.
Hi Sam, Appreciate you pointing out the team, glad they took good care of the move! That said, there seems to be some misunderstanding around the pricing. Your move was booked through your building, which uses an hourly structure.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, IT TOOK ALMOST A MONTH TO RECEIVE MY BELONGINGS, ONLY UPDATE I GOT WAS A DAY BEFORE THEY FINALLY ARRIVED. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TRULY ATROCIOUS.

I cannot say enough good things about Avant - Garde… I’ve now used them twice, and both experiences were absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The team was professional, punctual, and incredibly hardworking. They handled everything with such care — not a single item was damaged, scratched, or mishandled. What really stood out was their attitude. Everyone was friendly, respectful, and clearly experienced. Moving is usually exhausting and chaotic, but they made the entire process feel organized and smooth.

I had a great experience with Avant-Garde Moving & Storage in NYC. Tow guys: Irfan and Jose arrived right on time and were professional from start to finish. They worked incredibly hard, even in the hot weather, while handling all of our belongings with great care. They were efficient, organized, and made the entire move go smoothly. Everything was packed, loaded, and unloaded carefully, and they left everything clean and well organized at the end of the job.

Avant Garde Moving & Storage is the BEST in the business. I have moved more times than I care to count and I have never had an experience as I did today with Avant Garde. They showed up early but waited outside until the designated time when I was ready. They packed up the truck in less than 2 hours and never complained that my dogs barked the entire 2 hours!

I can't say enough about how great of a job Avant-Garde Moving did for us. I was nervous to use a new company who I hadn't heard of before (especially after hearing horror stories from friends who moved with other companies during the pandemic). Based on Avant-Garde's reviews, I decided to take a chance and contact them. Adi was incredibly responsive and thorough since day one. When our closing plans changed, Adi was able to move our moving date, no problem.
