my experience arranging my service with intense movers was smooth. they made it easy to list and update inventory. however, the actual move was extremely difficult. first, my moving time arrive, and i received no contact from my movers. i had to call the company, and they were helpful. my movers told me they were delayed only after i had called the company. then, my movers repeatedly gave me incorrect etas and failed to show up.
I have moved with Intense Movers for the past 2 years, in 2022 and 2023. I have had bad experiences both times. In 2023 one of the movers started yelling at me and I ended my night in tears :( plus they mishandled my things. In 2022, the movers arrived 1.5 hours late and immediately upon arriving began berating me about extra stuff.
If your experience was bad in 2022, then why would you hire us again a year later? Let alone wait a whole second year to post a ridiculously long review without filing any complaint with our company? Cheers, Etta.
This was one of the worst business experiences I have ever had; and I am 75 years old. After 12 days of emailing back and forth, I received at quote for my move a day and a half (after 5 p.m.) before my moving date. My first contact was with Richard with whom I spoke to after I received their very long questionnaire.
Did my move yesterday. When my 3-person couch did not fit into the building service elevator, the lead mover Scott asked me to figure everything out on my own, including speaking with the superintendant myself for permission to access the regular passenger elevator which was larger but did not work. They did not even offer to carry the couch up the stairs (I would have paid extra), or measure the dimensions of the stairs; they basically took the super's word that it wouldn't fit.
Uh oh ! Scott’s in the 🐕 🏠 💀 We will reach out to this week to see how we can make this up to you. We are very sorry your couch wouldn’t fit and needed the couch doctor . At the very least the guys should have not forgotten their blades at home. Double dog house! Talk to you soon, Thanks, Intense
Unfortunately adjusting my prior review. I had a positive experience with Intense Movers for a prior move to a new neighborhood. When I hired them to do a same-building move, the team did not complete the scoped move that I paid for and didn’t adequately wrap each item they moved in the building. I emailed Intense Movers twice in the past two months since the incident and was left with radio silence. My last email to them was on February 14, 2025 and I received no reply.

Used these guys more than once and was satisfied the first time. However, on my last move, they not only damaged some of my furniture and didn't disclose it, they apparently didn't unpack or somehow lost (on a simple A to B move) all of the shelves to my bookcase and TV unit, which have not turned up after several weeks of unpacking and finally getting everything cleared out.

These guys are affordable but there is a trade off: they lost a couple of our boxes and were not at all helpful in the aftermath. When I pressed them for help or a response, they told me lost items “usually end up behind a couch”. (We went back to our old place the day after moving to make sure we didn’t leave anything). I’ve waited two months to write this to give them the benefit of the doubt but now I’m sure — intense movers lost more than one box of ours.

My boyfriend and I absolutely love this company. We've used them three times now, and each experience has been outstanding. Their rates are very competitive, communication is prompt and professional, and they're always flexible when plans or details change. One thing that consistently impresses us is how efficiently they work. The team moves quickly without ever sacrificing care or attention to detail. Every mover we've worked with has been friendly, respectful, and incredibly careful with our belongings.
Nothing Intense about it… this was the easiest, smoothest, most carefree move I’ve ever had… and I’ve moved a lot. Ty, Tim, JO, and Frankie were all incredible and extremely hardworking. They made me feel at ease and confident that they not only cared, but they knew what they were doing, and that really put me at ease. (With other movers, you get one or two veterans and a couple newbies who you feel nervous to have handling your prized possessions, but ALL of these guys were wonderful).
Intense Movers are the ABSOLUTE BEST! I was in an extremely dire situation with my move, and they definitely saved me. From the start, the communication & set up was timely & professional. The guys arrived on time & immediately began wrapping and positioning everything for loading. They cafefully & neatly loaded everything in less than 2 hours. Joel stayed in contact with me throughout this entire long-distance move, from Brooklyn to North Carolina.

Honestly THE BEST moving experience I've ever had! :) Johannes and his team showed up not only exactly on time but 5 minutes early on the morning of our move from Queens to Brooklyn and were super friendly, positive and kind. They were super precise and thoughtful, and packed up our apartment carefully, quickly, and efficiently. We started at 9am and they were completely done moving all our stuff into the new place by noon!!!!
