In their own words
Do NOT use this company. They misquote and then gouge you on pricing by sending men without the proper equipment to get the move done in a timely manner. I was quoted approximately $400 for two hours to move a 1 bedroom apartment. The men showed up with a passenger van, not a truck. They spent more time trying to fit things in the truck than actually moving things. I ended up moving things myself. It took them 4.5 hours with my help...costing me $700 total.
We are truly so sorry that this was your experience, it is NEVER our intention to leave a customer feeling so frustrated. When we talked during the move I specifically stated that we are NOT in the business of gouging people and asked that we let the move complete then revisit the timing again…but…
Update: I did reach out. That was the issue—calls and messages weren’t returned. Please don’t dismiss my experience by saying I reviewed the wrong company. If I could give zero stars, I would. Communication was very poor—I called and left multiple messages with no response. When I finally got a call back, I still couldn’t get a straight answer on cost for a simple request. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.
Original: Ms. Warde, I genuinely wish you would have reached out to us, we would have provided a much better experience than what you describe. Every call comes into one phone and monitored by one person.

The efficiency they communicate with us, the care they handle with the stuff, and the professional work they've done overall go way beyond our expectations. Let alone the reasonable price. After reading the reviews for Balance Detroit Moving Co. I reached out and spoke to Sarah, who was so nice and understanding. I scheduled a move and Sarah accommodated my last minute scheduling. Sarah sent the POWER DUO of Demetrius and Demetrio, whom I have affectionately nicknamed The DOUBLE D's (LOL). Demetrius and Demetrio arrived slightly early and ready to go to work! I had most of my things already packed in storage containers on wheels and few other things in boxes.
