Baymeadows Movers

I contacted North American Van lines and they directed me to baymeadow movers. The service rep on call was polite and helpful. However, I am deeply disappointed in the packing, and transportation services. Packers have packed stuff so poorly that some of my stuff got broken. They packed my shoes with my kitchenware. Laundry stuff was packed with my kids toys, they packed breakable glassware with my bedding set. All in all a very poor strategy to pack stuff.

.I had moved recently from FL to CA. It was my first time move . i am not happy with this moves .household goods shipment was delayed in arrival for a whole week as scheduled . I didn’t recive any form of notice till I call them up! When shipment arrived.I found a package full of baby items that did not belong to me. I had to call the moving company to search the owner .

Terrible experience made worse by owner. Used previously and did great job but this time was painful. Have expensive antique furniture and was told by salesman they would send best experienced antique crew. The crew sent did not know how to handle antiques. To make experience worse, they broke an expensive carved wood buffet and owner refused to repair. First he would not return call so we had to keep calling. Not only did he refuse to repair but was extremely rude and unprofessional.

The worse move of my life. They were five hours late getting to the pickup house, the crew didn't show up so there was only a driver and partner, two people for a 4200 square foot house, 22,000 lbs of furniture. To try and keep on schedule, we wrapped and loaded furniture for over three hours until the additional crew of two showed up. We all loaded until after midnight.

The problems started with the rouge driver we had. The first problem was that he picked up an unauthorized load for part of our truck. Due to this, part of our load which should have fit in one truck was placed into storage in their warehouse until it would be convenient to deliver to us several states away. Put that solved some of the problem when they "lost" several hundred dollars worth of power lawn tools which were never recovered. Then we paid nearly $800 for the unpacking service.

This was the 2nd time we’ve used Baymeadows Movers. This first time, January 2024, was a 10/10 experience - the two gentleman were thorough, prepped the area with mats and door padding, and were very professional. Our move last weekend was a totally different experience. No prep to the walk way or doors. 3 out of the 4 movers were complaining the whole time, constantly asking how much more stuff we had.

We paid for full packing and moving. The packing is a "per box" kind of thing and let me tell you... when I unpacked, I was shocked at how "lightly" boxed everything was. The cost for packing was almost double what I was quoted as a "worst case price". They did a good job, but I've hired packers that were paid on a flat rate and they packed my house with almost half the number of boxes. Same amount of stuff. The guys who did the moving (both loading and unloading) were great. Both teams.

Baymeadows Moving and Storage did not treat my mom fairly. They originally promised 3 people to pack up her items. ONE person showed up to pack. No explanation as to why the other two did not show up and no phone call letting her know what was going on. Two people show up two hours late and then go to lunch at 12. Unbelievable. My mom was very stressed about her move. The night before, she emptied out her kitchen cupboards to expedite things.
