If it was possible to give these guys a lower rating, I would do it. However, there is no rating less than this. Originally, I called Bearded Brothers because they were recommended by a local service. They came out and gave me an estimate of between $800 and $1200. We scheduled a date and time for their arrival. They didn't show up at the prescribed time, but they DID call and say they were running late. They called again 2 hours later and asked to be rescheduled for the next day and offered me a 15% discount.
We apologize that we could not accommodate your move but under the circumstances we must put our employee’s health and safety first. I contacted you first thing in the morning to notify you that we were short a man and that we were going to move your start time to 11 am.
I am shocked and appalled and completely gutted. I am disabled. I'm doing my best to pack up my house and move. I was very upfront about what I needed moved and that there was a lot in the house not being moved etc. never once was I asked for information about pets or allergens or anything like that. I even took pictures of different pieces of furniture (that showed dust etc).
It was not our intention to refuse you service. Of course we wanted to move you. We drove for over an hour with four movers ready to work. Upon arriving, you practically ran our of your house down the 8 busted steps to greet us (with a cane). You had to warn us the house was a disaster.

The Bearded Brothers came highly recommended to me by my realtor. I am so glad I selected them, after researching several other moving companies, for an entire household move across town in Virginia Beach, VA. The service was excellent from the office staff setting up the move, answering questions, to the movers and owner of the company. All were professional and responsive. The crew arrived on time, were careful with my furniture and worked efficiently.

The best moving company out there in the area. As soon as they came into our home, they immediately got to work and made us feel like we could sit and relax. After a long packing, it was so refreshing to have movers who were so thoughtful, efficient, and serious about our stuff. They were incredibly flexible with us and rockstars throughout the process. I have honestly never in my life seen such quality movers in the way they wrapped, handled, and stacked our stuff.
I was looking for someone to move my Father-in-law from one assisted living facility to another. I received a quote from the 'preferred' mover (Not Bearded Brothers) at the new facility. The 'preferred' mover had too much overhead for a small move of a 600 sq ft apartment, a lengthy sales process, convoluted pricing structure with many add-ons, couldn't confirm availability (sign first and then they would see if they could accommodate), and seemed grossly overpriced.
I am SO GLAD Bearded Brothers was recommended to me when I posted for moving company recommendations. I had never hired a moving company and was reluctant, due to horror stories I had heard in the past. I was hopeful that my experience would be a good one. My experience was GREAT! From the initial chats with Danielle to work out the logistics and get the move scheduled, I felt like I was working with people who cared about me and wanted my move to go smoothly.
