I’m surprised they have such great reviews — they initiated the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. They were several hours late, overcharged me hundreds, and then I had to *argue* for them to charge the correct rate…to which he acted like he was doing me a favor. Absolutely the WORST moving company in the world. One single turtle can move things faster than 3 of these guys. They were extremely slow and damaged two of my items: a dining table and a fireplace. I didn't receive a refund for the damage. Since they charged per hour, they took their time with everything and even unnecessarily disassembled furniture to charge for more time. I think they would even try to disassemble the legs of your chairs if you let them. The main person, Mr.

Booked service appointment a few days ago. Was told they would arrive by 4:30 but never showed. Called back over and over and each time got told a different eta. Movers didn’t end up showing until almost 9 pm over 4 hours later than we originally had planned. Granted, they did show up and got the job done, though it wasn’t very convenient at all. When it came time to pay for the service it was about 20 minutes to 1 AM and everything was closed.

Avoid this company. There’s no reason it took 3 hours to move less than 20 items. My apartment had 2 working elevators, the move was early in the morning w/little to no traffic. Let’s just say I’ve moved quite often over the years so I know how long it should reasonably take to move. Especially with 3 movers. They purposefully dragged out my move to make more money. They started the timer as soon as they pulled up, not when they actually started moving.

Booked Through Hire-A-Helper. Was charged $320 for materials (fair-game) but then a $80+ “long-walk fee” when they had no stairs to climb, used an elevator, and I told hire-a-helper that the walk was 2/3 minutes using an elevator. Was charged an additional hour as the work was not done in 4 hours (1 bedroom into pod 10 minute drive away) which is fine.

Be careful of the hidden fees, despite them touting transparency. I was hit with extra charges because they claim my apartment was more than 100 Ft from the elevator (an extra $110) and they took away boxes I had offered them from different movers. I had planned to recycle them but the driver said he wanted them. Had I known it would be an extra $272, I wouldn’t have agreed. And to top it all off, they charged me an hour extra ($159).

I recently used Berket moving. Several items were dented and scratched and not communicated. Small company, but would not use again due to professionalism and lack of ensuring that the customers belongings are well taken care of. Broken pieces and I discovered that they did not properly install all the screws when reinstalling the furniture. Poor customer, service, communication, and professionalism.

John and Oscar were excellent to work with. Very courteous and continually productive all day long. Very careful and protective of our property. HOWEVER, hard to believe extraordinarily expensive I was charged nearly $1800 to move a bedroom set and hutch 20 miles to my house, bring the old set to my garage and set the new set up. We are talking essentially one room and a hutch. Be very careful dealing with this company.
