In their own words
"Horrific" is probably the best way to describe our experience with this mover. We hired them to pack our things, put them in storage, and then deliver them to our new home out of state two months later. The first picture pretty much says it all. That's what I saw when they opened the truck at the other end. For reference, the item wrapped in blue is our TV. It was destroyed, along with (by my best estimate after spending the last three months unpacking) nearly 50% of our belongings.
Don’t book!!! No show!! Had a move scheduled for June 1st, had contract and everything. Texted him a few days prior to just confirm move and no response but didn’t think to much of it at the time. June 1st 9am comes and goes and he never showed. Called and texted multiple times that day with no response. Still no response or apology if something had came up even now. Left me in panic mode and scrambling to call 10+ other moving companies to do a last minute same day move as I had to turn my keys in next day.
THIS IS ABOLUTELY THE WOREST MOVING COMPANY EVER. THEY DAMAGED 10+ PIECES OF FURNITURE AND DENTED AND GAUGED WALLS IN OUR HOME. THEY QUOTED US A PRICE AND CHARGED US TWICE THE PRICE WHEN IT WAS DONE. WE REACHED OUT TO OWNER MULTIPLE TIMES VIA TEXT, PHONE AND TRIED TO GO TO THEIR OFFICE WITH NO REPONSE. THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE AN OFFICE, THE ADDRESS ON THE SITE I BELIEVE IS THE OWNERS HOME. KEEP IN MIND THAT THE PHOTOS ATTACHED WAS NEW FURMITURE; LESS THAN A YEAR OLD WITH NO DAMAGE WHAT SO EVER.
This company was used by my ex husband last summer while we were separated and moving. They placed his belongings in their storage warehouse and did not tag anything. When my ex went to have his belongings moved to his new residence they brought other people's belongings and lost a lot of valuable items that were his. I also think his unprofessional crew stole sports memorabilia pictures, lost furnishings and other items. Do not use this company. He had to threaten legal action to get any kind of compensation.
They get one star because I don't see a way to give 0 stars. There were some very negative reviews about these guys on Angie's list. I figure everyone has a bad day once in a while, so I ignored them. Every single negative comment I read applied to our move. While the owner eventually made good on the move, it was only after he lied to me about 5 different times. And when I was discussing it on the phone with him, he had the nerve to tell me that I was being disrespectful. Great way to talk to a customer.
Hi Marc Unfortunate to see this was the way you decided to express your dissatisfaction with the move. Negative reviews are very hurtful to our business and if there is problems on jobs, we do our best to sort them out with the customer and make it right!
Left 3 closets at old house dent in fridge smashed side table. They lost a lot of stuff I had to buy new things spent hundreds replacing things that were lost or left . They were very unorganized and were at our home till 12 at night with us helping. Worst move I’ve had they just arnt knowledgeable are nice but I suppose need more experience. I would never write to make them feel bad I just appreciate true reviews so that’s why I put it up.
Hi Becca Sorry you feel this way, but this is also just not true. We worked very hard at your house for over 12 hours. Neither you nor your husband were at the house for the entirety of the job, which can be very difficult when you are packing and moving an entire home, when the homeowner is not…
No call and no show! I reached out several times in advance of my move and was completely ghosted. No one had the courtesy to call and let us know they would not be able to assist us with out move. Moving day rolls around and still no response putting us in a real bind and a panic to find a last minute truck and people to help. They clearly do not value their customers. I cannot fathom how a company can function like this.
No show, no call, won’t take my calls now. Left us in the lurch for a scheduled move with no communication. Had to reschedule the move with another company at great inconvenience.

In their own words
Our organization was hit hard in the early days of the pandemic. Live events, our sole source of revenue, were canceled indefinitely. This left us with no choice but to quickly pivot, hunkering down into survival mode until the worst passed. That transition included a move to an office suite half the size, just two floors down. At first, to save money, we thought we’d just do it ourselves. But overwhelmed by all of the other tasks demanding our attention, we realized we needed help.
We just completed a local move with Harrington Movers. I have done over 18 military moves and this was by far the best moving experience I have ever had. The crew was on time, courteous, and professional. They communicated well and took care to make sure all our household goods made it to our new home safely. All this for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Harrington Moving to anyone looking for an outstanding company to make the stressful moving process a little bit easier!

When deciding to sell our home, Dan was the first to contact us. He was consistently responsive to my questions and worked with me on how much to reduce my load for significant savings. His computer program, when properly filled out, correctly predicted how much one 26' truck would hold. His crew was very nice and efficient. Ernie was especially helpful showing me how he disconnected a sleep number bed pump and how to disassemble the bed, which is a little tricky to do properly.

I highly recommend Harrington Movers without reservation. This company was recommended by a friend in the Real Estate Industry, for local moving services. However, they ended up completing our move for us from Wisconsin to Ohio. I am thankful for the recommendation and could not be happier with the services provided by this company. Our move from Wisconsin to Ohio happened in increments. We first hired Harrington Movers to unload trucks for us in our new location on two occasions.
