In their own words
Absolutely the worse moving company there is. From the quote from Bob Arnold to the delay in shipping, delivery time not met, rescheduled....to Berger subcontracting out the load, damage to furniture, broken furniture, destroyed bicycle, broken lamps and coffee tables all which they packed, missing boxes and items....lack of knowledge even when escalated to district manager as branch manager was out or unavailable DURING the move...Move was from Lexington to Phoenix...when the local Phoenix Berger employees came…
This company moved my family moved us and overcharged us. They never made it right. The driver even verified that the company overcharged us and told us they would have to refund us some of the move. I will never use them again. They were dishonest and rude from the office staff down.
They were supposed to deliver 3 items but only delivered 1 (the dresser). I’ve called 2 days in a row and still no response. A CSR from 1Stopbedroom has emailed several times and called but still no response. Still waiting.
This has honestly been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a “professional” company of any sort. I would list all of the things that arrived broken, dirty, or otherwise ruined, but no one wants to read a list that long (ruined OLED TV, motorcycle damages, boot prints on mattress, lost parts, etc). I was originally told my household goods would arrive on the last possible day of the delivery window. Which isn’t great, but these things happen.
About half the furniture they've delivered has been damaged. Mostly they've handled it well by scheduling an exchange or arranging touch up. Two units should have been identified as damaged before being them into the house. There was so much damage to deal with that we didn't see minor damage to one of the smaller units until after they left. After I called them and sent emails with pictures, they never responded with a resolution.
This moved was paid by the U.S Army to move the household goods from Overseas to Stateside. The movers were so unprofessional and left everything unopened. They were required to take all the boxes after unpacking. I have served in the U.S Army for over 20 years, and this was the worse moving company that did not know their roles. I believe that it is a company that has no integrity of their work nor supervise their workers for their performance. Do not use this company if you want a quality moving company.
Delivery and assembly of furniture. Arrived close to estimated time of delivery. Polite. However, they unwrapped light upholstered items on truck and carried in using bare hands. No gloves to protect fabric. I asked if they could use gloves. After second delivery guy brought second or third piece into home using bare hands, I requested that they use gloves or I would provide. The two or three pieces they handled w/o gloves had soiled spots. Now retail store is making an exchange w/new clean item.
It was a super rainy day, they asked if they could unload in my garage which was great, then they walked through the rain to come into the front door, with sopping wet shoes. No floor covering, they just walked through my house with wet muddy shoes. I figured it wasn’t a big deal because I could wipe up my wood floors. Until I walked upstairs and they spread mud ALL OVER my brand new white carpet. Then tried to say it wasn’t them. I literally just moved in and no one has walked on the carpet. So so so frustrating.

In their own words
Arrived a little early which I loved, were very careful with everything, did their job quickly and professionally, and were very courteous. No complaints.
Malcolm and the crews at both ends were so professional, helpful and took great care of my residence and belongings. This was my first move and everyone tried their best to make the move less stressful. I am not in a hurry to move again, but I would definitely have this company do my move, especially if Malcolm is the team lead! He is the best! I also have to commend Bob and Julia at the office who were responsive, patient and helpful before and during the move.
The move did not go quite as I hoped. We had some damage and we had some things that were missing. I was, as one could imagine, really angry and put a poor rating here. I struggled with putting down a poor rating because all of the movers, the sales person, and Rachel, who was the coordinator for the move are all exceptionally nice people, and really hard-working. Nonetheless, when I filed the claims, I felt that some of them had been unfairly denied.
This company lead by Asia and her team were by far the most exceptional movers we have had. We are a military family and often feel frustrated by the way movers handle our personal items. This company and team treated our items like their own. They cautiously packed each item with extra measures to consider how corners could be damaged etc. Other movers we have had moved so quickly we felt disoriented.
