Cardinal Moving

Used them for what should have been a 2 day move. No assessment of our 5 bd, 3.5 bath home was performed prior to scheduling. They scheduled only 4 employees for the large move. The manager made the poor guys work for 14 straight hours. By the end, they were so tired and careless with our things. Three broken lamps, 2 broken vases, a broken Samsung TV, and a broken chair. The team leader the day of the move told me that the insurance policy wasn't worth it so we did not pursue repayment.

For starters these people quoted my wife a price to move everything out of our house and into the new house after an overnight with our stuff in the trucks (between $1350 and $1700 depending on how long the work took). After everything is moved into the trucks we get the first bill. $2235.91. Pretty large margin to miss by but fine, they took longer to get the work done than originally quoted but that's how things go. Now on move in day we find out there is ANOTHER BILL to move everything in.

The physical lifting was incredibly fast, but the complete lack of follow-through and attention to detail ruined the experience. I explicitly stated when booking that I needed my sofa and bed assembled. The three-man crew arrived on time and worked very quickly, finishing the load and unload for my 2-bedroom apartment in under an hour and a half. They got the sofa together perfectly. Because they worked so fast, I handed them a $120 tip ($40 per man) on top of the $530 total bill.

Beware - your quotes will be dramatically off. Highly recommended saying you have 2 extra bedrooms to have them send the appropriate size truck. They will tell you they don’t have the size you need in stock when you call to discuss day of. Customer service in office does not help address your issues. Our move ended up being double the quote due to truck size. Our movers were fantastic which is the only reason for the 2 stars.

I DO NOT recommend this moving company. I made an appointment with them over the phone the day that I wanted to move (at around 9 am). I wanted the movers to be at my apartment closer to 4 pm and the person I talked to told me they could try to make that happen but if they arrived earlier than that, they would call me 30 minutes in advance. At about 11 am I get a call from my leasing office telling me that the movers are there waiting on me. The person I talked to on the phone told me that this would not happen.

This company was referred to me by a friend an I really regret using them. I called in for a quote. I was told 3 to 4 hours. When the guys arrived one of the movers kept complaining about my furniture (size and weight) saying we need a third guy and this may take 6 hours. After he called the office and the super rude manager Nick called me he just kept saying we are only charging by the accurate time. Continuing to stress that like my concern was the money. No my concern was ONE of the guys was lazy.

As a previous business owner, I’ve only left a handful of bad reviews in my life. People are imperfect and mistakes are made and I believe how we handle these mistakes is what counts. Between 12:35 and 12:45ish I was traveling on Radcliff Rd. My child and I were ran off the road by one of Cardinal Moving’s Drivers. I called their number and Evan answered. I asked who I would speak too about a driver?

I was waiting to write this review in case the situation were rectified, but I do not see that happening. We chose Cardinal Moving because we had a good experience with them in the past. Unfortunately this move was completely different, and I do not recommend their services. The first item damaged during our move was our headboard. I understand that accidents happen, so I initially gave the crew the benefit of the doubt. However, while I was unpacking, I discovered more damaged items.
