People-Move Moving

All of my furniture was damaged. Specifically asked for my couch to be wrapped as well as bed frame and mattress. Not only was nothing wrapped it was dragged across the ground and on whatever they could hit on the way to the truck.Called the company and spoke with someone named Shane prior to the movers leaving to let them know my belongings were damaged and I was not going to pay. He then told me I have to pay in order to File a claim.

I don’t know where to start. We first used People Move Moving 4-5 years ago for a “down the street” move. Great experience. Movers were on time, professional, worked quickly but carefully. All of our belongings arrived safe and sound. Given our first experience, we didn’t even bother quoting the move out to anyone else. We were in regular telephone communication with Daniel, their Sales and Operations Manager via phone. Red flag that we never received written follow up communication.

DO NOT USE THEM If you are moving anything of value, I highly recommend that you do not use this company. I had a brand new Samsung (Stainless Steal, Bottom freezer) Refrigerator just purchased for $3,000. Long story short, the movers assured me that they had just moved the exact same fridge the evening before and knew they could get it out of the house no problem as long as they took the handles off. Which we did. It got stuck in the door way for 45 minutes to an hour.

The workers did a good job moving, however my complaint is, there was an envelope in my couch console with something in it that is missing. The envelope is still there but the items are not!

Please do not use this company to move. The admin were the most unprofessional and unhelpful scammers I’ve ever met. An issue happened with the moving team they were going to send me but no one told me about it. I waited at my storage unit and decided to call the office when no one showed. They called another crew to come and it was only a 2-person team. I had put on my form that we needed extra manpower as my items were located on the 3rd floor of each building.

We are a family who moves frequently for work. We have moved a 4 bedroom house approximately 4 times in the past 5 years . This was one of the WORST experiences we have ever had. They did not properly pack ( they stacked heavy on top of light boxes, did not pack the to the top of the trailer, etc ). At our destination 80% of boxes are damaged, and we are still cataloging the damaged items. Do not use this company. Disclaimer : we decided to use a 2 man team opposed to a 3man team .

I am very disappointed in the situation… I was coordinating a move for a client and had heard good things about the company. Was pleased they were able to fit my clients in within 4 days. My client said they worked VERY hard …. BUT none of them spoke English. My client had to attempt to use a google translator and even this was not effective. I had painstakingly labeled boxes with their destination.

BEWARE!!!!!! People-Move Moving did a fantastic job for us when we moved in 2021, they were professional, experienced, on-time, efficient and reasonably priced. Based on that experience, we hired them for our recent move. As good as they were the first time, they were the exact opposite this time. They were extremely unprofessional, inexperienced, arrived late, unprepared (forgot the plastic wrap so they had to go buy some, didn't have enough furniture pads), inefficient and a rip-off.
