Best Fit Movers Moving & Storage

The company 100% has to be deleting reviews or paying for them. No chance this company is worthy of a perfect 5 stars. One of the worst overall experiences I've had with moving. This is a review based on a long distance move from SD to TX. I will keep this kind of short. We were told a price based for pickup, and ended up paying 1k+ extra.

Terrible experience with these two mover at this company. The day started with their late arrival over an hour. They were very unprofessional and my 1500 dollar Sony tv was broken when forcefully place at the edge of the elevator and the door knowing it was not going to fit once it got upstairs he couldn’t open the door and he had to shove the tv down the stairs in order to get the door open.

We had a short window to move out of our apartment building. The movers arrived an hour late, despite us warning them about our moving window. This caused us to be charged a fee from the building we moved out of, which we had to cover. The truck broke down outside of our building with all of our things in it. We had to wait approximately 3 hours for it to work again. Once everything was put in our new place we noticed some damages to our things and mentioned it to the movers.

I paid full amount in cash at the spot and they refused to return my deposit. The mover even overcharged me $100 and the billing department just ghosted me for two months.

To be honest, I will not be using Best Fit Movers. I reached out to Best Fit Movers in August for a move in September and the first time they reached out, I received 35 CALLS BACK TO BACK. I was in the middle of work and couldn't answer until I was on a lunch break. I let them know that emailing or texting would be better and I would reply as soon as I had a chance but I still received phone calls. In the end, I ended up going with them because it was the most affordable.

THE WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER!!! The workers started working really fast in the beginning and started slowing down tremendously in the middle of the move. They will say they have wardrobe boxes for lose things or smaller things but won’t say that it’s $25 EACH!!! It took them more than 5 hours to do a small 2 bedroom house! We have to drive an hour to our destination at 65-70 mph, they took their time by driving below 60 mph!! Knowing they get paid hourly of their time!

These people are scammers! Hired them due to their great reviews. We had reserved 4 movers, but only three showed up, and then they had to change their quote. The first thing they did was ask if we wanted to wrap the big items we had, we were going to have another company move us later, so I said no. Then they pressed on saying that if the furniture is not wrapped then they are not responsible for any damage to the HOUSE or the item they are moving.

I paid for the delivery fee as well as the entirety of my storage balance. 2 days later I was charged 45 dollars to both my of my cards; totaling 90$ . I have been trying to get in contact with the billing department for over a week now to simply just ask what the charges were for. Every time I call, I’m always forwarded to voicemail. The front desk said they are unable to help me and that only billing can do so. I have called over 20 times this past week and left multiple messages.
