Space Moving & Storage

I provided clear instructions to only move furniture items. Unfortunately, some bags that were clearly labeled for donation were packed and moved into the truck which caused delays and required additional time to unload items that were not meant to be taken. It also took over 40 minutes to remove just the couch from the house, and I ultimately had to assist with loading and unloading due to the extended time spent, including periods of slow moving, standing around, and unnecessary conversation.

This is a two part review. First, I would like to express my gratitude to Yaroslav and Valera, our two movers. They arrived promptly, moved out furniture and belongings with care, efficiently, and quickly. They were very friendly she got the job done. They also assembled our bed frames. 5 stars for them, I would hire them independently to move us again. The second part of this review is based on the company Space Movers itself, hence the 2 star overall review. We rescheduled our move 7 days in advance.

They took advantage of a service member who was deployed and hired them to help me move since he couldn’t be here. We are military so we have moved many times, cross country etc.. this was insanely expensive and the price ended up being over 3x what we were quoted. Then, they tell you that if you don’t pay cash it’s $10 extra PER HOUR. I had them come over for an inspection and scheduled a morning move. We have 4 kids (twin babies so, lots of stuff).. I wanted it to be done at a decent time.

If you want a company to show up with fewer movers than promised, none of whom speak fluent English, show up late, furniture, try to change the terms of their contract while your entire home is hostage in their truck then THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU. I wont go into all the details other than to say that moving with SPACE MOVERS was a total nightmare. Avoid at all cost. And when they claim I am a competitor and they have no record of our move it will be just another lie. Good luck with your move.

They sent me 2 movers with a truck, and lost 2 of my TV and some other stuff were missing. when we left my storage place the TVs were still there, then when we left they didnt answer when i kept calling they were not answering for 2hrs. Would not trust this company. They charge me full price even though they lost my TVs worth more than the service. If i can rate it to 0 stars i would.

What a scam. Came to view the stuff beforehand and said we would need one truck and it would be $900 $1,300 at maximum. I had to go to sea so my wife was alone with 4 kids and I wanted her taken care of. They told her there was no way it would fit on one truck, fine. She agreed to the two. Then said they needed more guys. She had requested a morning move and they rescheduled her and put her in the afternoon. Assured her it could be done in time.

My experience with Space movers has been absolutely horrendous. The lack of professionalism and customer service is astounding. Movers arrived 2 and a half hours late, couldn't even tell they were part of the company as no identifying shirt, hat, nothing with company information. They broke the leg on the very first piece of furniture moved. They proceeded to break several blinds and a side table before leaving my apartment.

I was initially contacted by Alina when I submitted an inquiry about Space Moving and Storage services. Alina was, at first, nice, friendly, and accommodating, and I felt comfortable talking to her. She seemed to understand my difficulties of being a senior living on only Social Security, and needing to have a HUD Voucher for housing assistance. She gave me a moving quote that fit my meager budget, and I submitted a 100.00 deposit to seal the deal.
