Highly unprofessional and shady. They deliberately avoid our claim. We moved to Carlisle at the beginning of August 2018 and we still have not resolved the damages after 5 months. They damaged the hard wood floor with deep gorges and scratches trailing all along the floor. Contacted them over 6 times via phone and multiple times through email. Had 3 estimates done, 2 who were sent by their company which they blew us off after. One estimated done on our own using a restoration company.

Originally this company did my first move and was excellent. The second time HORRIBLE broken items missing items very unprofessional move. This company out source to Wheaton I would never EVER recommend this company to move. Trying to file a claim and everyone is delaying and passing the blame. They took the money quick fast and in a hurry. Terrible! Terrible! Terrible!!!

MALICIOUS NEGLIGENCE. As a Navy family we have moved ten times in the last 19 years, and I have never seen such complete and utter disrespect for the property of others. We just received our household goods overseas which were packed by this crew in York, PA. They literally just threw my family heirlooms - WHICH WERE MARKED WITH SIGNS SAYING ‘FAMILY HEIRLOOMS, PLEASE PACK WELL’, into boxes with ZERO PADDING WHATSOEVER.

I recently had Bekins moving company out of Carlisle Pennsylvania, move my entire household on January 3rd and 4th 2024. During the move they dropped and ruined a 60 inch flatscreen TV. After nearly three weeks of back-and-forth text messaging and phone calls they finally offered me a settlement of $.60 per pound of the damaged item. Basically they offered me $50 for a $1500 television.

If it was only for the delivery of our shipment we'd give them a higher rating even though one of our shipments' delivery date was missed by 3 weeks and we had to wait in an empty house. The unloading crew was above average, even though some were ill prepared and didn't bring any water etc. to do manual labor for hours on a 98 degree F day. We happily supplied them with our refrigerated water bottles. The reason for the rating is mostly the frustration with the claims process and how it is handled.

The packing of the trucks went well. But what a disaster on the unpacking end. They had the crew drive 7 hours and expected them to unload. They left around 1 pm with only half of one truck emptied. What they had emptied was not in the right place and tossed about. The second day was no better. We have damaged furniture and some furniture I have to hire local movers to get up the stairs because this crew couldn’t. Fir the money paid, the service was horrible. Have had no responses from those I have contacted.

I had an appointment for an estimate. Nobody showed or even bothered to call. I called and they had no reason why. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled. The day they were to come for the 2nd time they called and said we have no dates this month and only one day next month to move you, do you still want us to come out? Really? Why didnt somebody say that when they rescheduled the appointment? An entire week went by when i could have called another company. I guess they dont need the business.

I have moved many times but this experience with Bekins was by far the worst. They damaged numerous pieces of furniture, destroyed a drum table, packed silk flower arrangements under heavy objects and dropped boxes in the wrong rooms. Master bedroom boxes were left in the basement, kitchen boxes were left in the garage and on and on. Plus, the hardware for my 3 piece wall unit was packed in an unmarked box. And for this I paid $15,000! I’ll never use Bekins again!!!
