Wouldnt recommend this company. Recently used their moving service for a 1b with a den (1028 SQ FT) to a new unit in the same community. The distance between 2 units is about 80 meters. No trucks are needed as the move is within the same community. The community has elevators. 1. Showed up late by 20 minutes. That gave a small hint on their professionalism. 2. Walked all over the new house with their shoes and promised to clean at the end but they just left without cleaning.
I’m a returning customer who had a great experience with this moving company in the past, which is why this move was such a disappointment. The crew was noticeably slower than during my previous move, and they didn’t put any protection on my $1000+ Herman Miller chair despite it being a standard part of most moving services. The final bill ended up being *double* the quoted price I was given when I booked, which felt extremely misleading.
It took us a week to fully recover from what I would say was the worst moving experience of our lives. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE POSITIVE REVIEWS. In the past 10 years, we have moved 6 times (NY/job opportunities/ moving coast to coast) and it always took us an average of 5 hours to pack and move from one building to the other. Well, because these guys charge on an hourly basis, it took a crew of 5 GUYS a total of 11 HOURS to pack & move an average 2 bedroom apt - from 10 am - 9pm.
I'm contacting several moving companies across the Bay Area to get quotes plus terms and conditions for a local move. Of all the companies I've contacted and spoken with (26 so far), this has got to be the worst. First, they will not come …
Update: After my initial move I noticed a straight razor cut through the fabric & lining of an expensive chair. It was clearly cut by a razor to cut the plastic wrap the chair was covered in. Why would they use a razor on furniture …

PURE MOVING - PURE-LY AMAZING!!! After calling a few different movers and getting quotes, Pure Moving gave me the best up front price and included an "All in Guaranteed" cost. So I knew no matter how long the move took and with the long distances, I already knew how much the max cost would be up front with no surprises. Really happy I went with Pure. They had a great rate. During my move there was a hiccup but the office promptly called me and straightened it out as well as compensated for it on the bill. It was like having our friends move us in. From the minute they came in, we knew they had things under control. We had done some planning and prep ourselves but with their help, everything went absolutely seamlessly. All of our furniture was packed up with care and very secure. Nothing was broken. All the heavy lifting was taken care of and they made sure our furniture was put back together the same way. Not tossed in the new place and hope for the best.
