You Move Me Bay Area

Didn't get a final quote until the day before the move. Considerably more than we'd anticipated, but we'd already arranged everything and had no time to find anyone else. It was an quote per hour, with 7 guys and 2 trucks, so we believed it should be a relatively quick move. It took them 9 hours all told. In addition, we'd asked if they could haul off the bigger trash items for us. They were happy to, for an additional $80 per item ON TOP of the hourly fee.

This company is just a call center and they try to play the middle man for unknown moving company businesses. The person who is supposed to help us from Madison moving company. You move me is great at charging people before the appointment in the name of security deposit. They give a 2 hour window so that they don't have to be accountable in case of late arrival of the movers. Today our appointment was at 10 am. And its 2.45 pmand they still haven't showed up.

One of the WORST EXPERIENCE moving !! We hired them when we were moving apartments within our complex. They showed up late to begin with, argued with us, soiled my fabric bench ( dropped my plant on the bench) damaged our bed’s headboard , listened to music all the time instead of actually working and moving, it was a FRUSTRATING experience.

Terrible experience. Sounded reasonably priced and responsible at first and I was truly impressed by how fast and carefully they packed while we were in the house, although a few employees had certainly had a beer too many at 8 am...but I am not here to judge life choices. After we left - and we realized only later while unpacking - their work got sloppy at best. Trash packed in the same box as kitchen items, entire drawers simply emptied carelessly into moving boxes...and it got worse.

The first thing I'm going to mention is the best thing. The workers Alfredo, Manny and Walter are salt-of-the-earth hardworking, nice guys. Please feed and water your movers. They deserve it! Management met with us to go over our move a month out. We were told one day for pack up (sleep at current location) and then load and move next day. No other instructions. We purposely moved all delicate artwork, expensive items ahead of time and left bigger stuff, kitchen, and books to be packed.

Stay away from this place. They charge double what they ask for. I booked an appointment for 9AM 3 weeks in advance, I got a call around 8:15 that they will be late 30min. It’s 10AM now and I call them they say they are close, they arrived at 10:15AM. I had 9 boxes, sofa, small dining table, tv, tv stand, dresser, matters, and my bed frame ready ( which I took apart to save sometime) 2 arrives and one of them was new, so it took them 2h to finish My move was from Santa Clara to Redwood City and it took the driver…

I enjoyed the customer service representative I spoke with on the phone however, the movers were very rough with the items, especially the tv's in addition they attempted to charge me more than the remaining balance on the job and completed the job ahead of schedule. Essentially they tried to charge me for time that they had not worked, stating "they usually charge for a minimum of 3 hours".

I was quoted for 2 movers with an estimate of 3.5 hours, $790, but on the day of the move there were 3 movers that took over 6 hours so the cost ended up being $1067 total. In addition to that, my $2500 television that is less than a year old was damaged to the point of being completely broken and inoperable. The corner was crushed and deformed, the screen cracked and damaged so it won't even turn on anymore.
