Budget Movers

Avoid at all costs. I arrived with a full truck for a straight-forward labor-only job at the agreed-upon time. In four separate conversations (including two that very day) and an e-mail quote with Heather, we agreed upon a time for the move. Thirty minutes after that time, I called and Heather told me they'd "get to me eventually." She tried to gaslight me and say that we never agreed on a time, an earlier customer had cancelled so they didn't both making sure they had movers available (though they were sure eager…

not a good experience at all. First, I did not expect they would hire someone in his 60s/70s to do this work. I feel sorry for an old man handling such labor intensive job. as a result, I am not surprised that although they original estimate is 7 hours and I moved half of the stuff after they did the estimate, the two old man still used the whole 7 hours to move only half of my stuff. because they are too OLD and I feel miserable and very sorry for them.

Update 2025: I used Budget Movers again for my most recent move and this new experience was disappointing and frustrating. I felt nickle and dimed and scammed. They kept adding things to their own boxes and charging me for it without even asking me. They did this to me last time too, but they didn’t charge me it. I will not be hiring them ever again. During the move, they conveniently got lost even though I was moving roughly 3 miles away. And it added about two hours extra to my total charges.

Be aware of THE FEES and extended move hours! I looked at all there amazing reviews and wondered what went wrong with my move. One bedroom apartment. Quoted at max 4 hours turned into over 8 hours, which it should not have been this long, and only 9 min driving distance between load and unload locations. My bedroom furniture was also damaged during the move and installation. I am not sure why I was asked what I did for a living and or if I had a bf or husband and if there were personal items in my draws left.

Update: This was our third time using Budget Movers and the experience was not a good one. The first two times we were amazed at the work done, but this time everything that could go wrong did. 2 days before the move (which we had scheduled over a month in advance), we got a call saying there had been a mistake and that they couldn't move us that day and could only be here the day before we had planned.

It started out well with our move which was a large one to Central OR. I have bad health and wanted to hire people that would care for my late mother's and grandmother's heirloom furniture in the move. I was told low incident rate with breakage damage and so i did not purchase insurance. The insurance covers at very low rate per pound and so I thought I'll be ok I'm sure they'll take care of the furniture.

We had a terrible experience with Budget Movers in Jan 2025. They caused significant damage and failed to provide insurance that is required under Oregon Revised Statute 825.100. We paid $5,235 for moving services and they caused approximately $8k in damage. They have not refunded any of the charges or paid for damages. Repairing the damage to our home also delayed listing it by 2 weeks.

Update: Why would I leave my real name? To be harassed? When your own employees state your company is a rip off and they could have moved me at a cheaper rate on the side, then take over 8 hours to move me. They absolutely took adventure of me! It should NOT have cost $1500.00 to move 50 boxes and one bedroom set and 1.5 couch. I want this to be a FLAG for someone like me in the future. Not sure how you can call your self a "BUDGED" movers. I had 50 boxes, 1.5 couches and a bedroom set.
