In their own words
Initially had a good experience but as the day went on it just got worse. The three movers would continually take multiple breaks. They were constantly chatting amongst themselves and complaining about the job. They would also be dragging their feet walking around and moving only one or two bags at a time from the fourth floor to their truck. I couldn’t tell if they were lazy or just trying to purposefully drag out the time. One of the movers was also outside vaping at one point.
Hi Jessica, I'm a little confused here. I am very sorry that things have not been resolved, but our last touch point was through email, and the ball was in your court, so to speak. You were going to check with the second apartment complex and then get back to me.
No show. A friend made arrangements with the company to have two movers show up today. Nobody arrived or called. We left messages at their office with no response.
Hi Ed, sorry your movers didn't show. We have no messages stating a missed appointment. I can't search for whom you are talking about since it was for a friend so I can't verify who was on the schedule.
The move was fine, very friendly crew. But the movers put a hole in one of my brand new doors when moving furniture into the house, not a huge deal, I get that they must have been exhausted, but it’s been rough ever since. They said they had to take the whole door to fix it, so they came and took our door for several weeks. When they returned the door, there were grey grease marks all over it.
There are several things that occurred we were dissatisfied with. 1. PDX movers promised that everything they packed would remain in storage in the same container until it was moved to our new home. That didn't happen. 2. Some of our furniture was deeply scratched or dented evidence that our things were removed from the storage unit before it was delivered. 3. Some of our boxes were lost and when we called on them they told us it was too late and if anything was left it was now donated or disposed of.
Hi L., I'm so sorry to see that you didn't have a great experience with us. We do our best to provide a great service and take care of our customers, but sometimes make mistakes or have bad days. If we get it wrong though, we always want to make it right after the fact if we can.
Worst moving company ever. My product has been sitting in their warehouse for over 3 weeks and they refuse to deliver. I have called, the company I purchased the table from also called and said he got the impression they weren’t ever going to deliver my product and didn’t care. We do live in Washougal, WA, but why did they accept the contract? I will make sure this company never receives another delivery order for me. I am hoping the company I purchased the product from no longer uses them either. Awful.
Hi Carolyn, I'm really sorry for your experience with us. We take these matters very seriously. Deliveries to rural areas typically take a little longer to get to, but not 3 weeks longer. This is very unusual.
This company hired me and 2 other men to do 2 moves for him last minute. He never paid us, became irate when we wouldn't just go away used multiple company names and telephone numbers is is a total scammer, period.

Hired PDX Movers for a 9-mile move within Portland. What we planned for a timeframe was pretty spot on, but should’ve been done earlier in my opinion. We didn’t think we’d need to get the extra coverage, because we had already moved all of our smaller, more fragile items beforehand. BIG mistake!! My nice leather arm chair wasn’t wrapped completely to protect it. I noticed when it was placed in the living room of our new place.
Be careful with this company. Recently a neighbor hired them to move their household goods. The company sent two trucks both of which easily drove past my house. After a brief period, one of the trucks decided to back up to park in front of my house. Even though there was a second employee in the vehicle, no one got out to monitor the truck as it backed up. As the truck backed up it ran into a large tree that is out front.

I needed to move in very short notice. I signed my lease on a Tuesday, received my quotes on Wednesday and signed my contract on Friday and moved Monday Morning. The office staff was super helpful. I worked with Tayslie, Max and Brittany. They were all very professional, attentive and communicative. They worked well together as a team since Tayslie was out of the office for the last step of my booking, Max called me to finish up. The process was painless.
This is our second time using PDX Movers and they exceeded our expectations in every aspect! Communications upfront and throughout the process are so professional and detailed. No hidden costs or fees, and they give you information to help you plan your move and call you to remind you of next steps. We had the BEST moving team. Antonio, Will and Isaac were friendly, efficient, careful, and made the moving process seamless.
We moved twice this year and our experience with PDX Movers was by far the best. The entire experience was great. They were responsive throughout the whole process -- very quick to set up an appointment to do the estimate and a follow-up call to review and check-ins before the move date. Moving day went more smoothly than I ever expected. The crew (Jose E, Cory A, Dominic H, Josh E, Taylor F, and Zack L) all arrived early and got right to work.
We recently had the pleasure of working with Said, Jaime Q., and Cody C. for our move within Portland's vibrant Pearl District. Despite facing a daunting challenge with the elevator situation in our Northwest Glisan building, these three professionals turned a potentially stressful day into a seamless and efficient experience. From the outset, Said, Jaime Q., and Cody demonstrated remarkable ingenuity and resourcefulness.
