Bust a Move Moving Déménagement

A close friend had a terrible experience. Day 1 of a 2 day move from a semi-detached house to another home 8 blocks away. Truck couldn't make it up property for over 30 minutes and my friend was charged for that time - bad start. One mover refused to take off their winter boots and had a disagreement with my friend/homeowner, thought snow slush, salt and gravel all over the home was fine because my buddy was "moving out anyway".

Avoid this company. High prices, misleading estimates, slow, charged me 50$ for an extra guy I wasn’t asked about. Also pay cash or e-transfer because they will write down your card info on paper, unsafe. $566 to move a few items 10 mins down the road. Some of their employees are polite, some are not. Will not use again. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I am a young female who was by herself; things were purposely drug out longer.

Hit or miss experience. We had a really good first experience with the company, smooth, efficient and stress-free. The second time was the polar opposite: same items but the team we got was much slower, to the point we started helping. Also, one of the movers was plainly rude. We contacted the company afterwards and were told that we were close enough to their estimate. Perhaps more accurate estimates are needed then, because the time between the first and the second move doubled, with no external hindrance.

We worked with bust a move 3 times. The first two times were great. The last time was a flaming dumpster fire. They lost some of our valuables, sent some stuff to the wrong city, and took ZERO responsibility. To call it a dispointment would be an understatement. Our family was super upset, and then their insurance compamy wouldn't support without countless materials that were not possible to produce. I would NEVER work with them again. I'm actually quite sorry to write this, but wow. what a terrible experience.

Had the absolute worst moving experience of my life with Bust-A-Move. What should have been the easiest and simplest move turned out to be the most frustrating and expensive (for amount of stuff and distance moved). Because I moved most of my belongings on my own, Bust-A-Move only had to move my furniture (from a 1 BR apt) and a few containers out of storage into my new apartment. Both buildings had elevators and the moving distance was less than 2 km.

I understand the positive reviews for this company, I really do. There are things that went well with our move: the movers were nice, price fair, smooth booking. Unfortunately, the actual moving experience was a letdown. We had a feeling not all our things would fit and this was apparent to the movers when they did their walkthrough of the house. We communicated with them that we didn’t care that boxes were left but we really need the appliances to be moved. They reassured us that there was no problem.

Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs I feel compelled to warn others about this moving company. Despite being explicitly told not to place heavy items on my expensive table, the movers went ahead and did exactly that — resulting in a crack and an unsightly stain on the surface and their carelessness ruined it. To make matters worse, they placed my TV on its side , resting all its weight on the frame, completely ignoring basic common sense and proper handling practices. Who does that?

This company has gone downhill fast. Just a few years ago, the movers were professional, careful, and clearly took pride in their work. They were efficient and respectful, and I was happy to recommend them. Now? It's a completely different story. It seems like they've drastically cut corners, and it shows. The new movers are careless, rushed, and seemed completely disinterested in their job. I've heard whispers that they've slashed worker pay and benefits, and frankly, it's obvious.
