I’ve used Camelback moving multiple times & had previously had great experiences. However, my recent experience with them has been less then optimal. On my recent move, the movers shattered a light fixture, No big deal, accidents happen. I made a claim with the company expecting a timely fix. This has not been the case.
They are inconvenient and troublesome. Moving is an unpleasant process, and this moving company makes it much more so. Not professionals and worst customer service ever. We decided on a long-distance move; these guys were expensive (~$8000 from Phoenix to California). We believe that they are costly for a reason which is the quality of their service. They lost several items, including three large boxes, furniture, backpacks, etc.
We apologize for the mistakes that were made and for the inconvenience caused as this was completely our fault. During the loading process there was a very unusual circumstance of elevator breaking down which did cause some confusion and a disruption of the flow of items going from the apartment to…
Quoted me under $200 for the whole total for the move from my old apartment into my new place and $90 to the remount my TV on the wall at my new place. When I was done they tried to charge me $860 and then added on $90 for taking my TV down off the wall which was never discussed prior to hiring. I’m handicapped, I feel like they took advantage of me .
I was quoted 500. For studio, I knew it would be more and acceptable at 800.00 but then after I had to unload one of their boxes which was extra large they loaded food from refrigerator and it was all over the bottom on top blanket was laid and they put My clothes in it on top of food. They hung up clothes then told me to unpack the foods the box literally came to just below my armpits, it was next to impossible because of ruptured discs in lower back and also needing knee surgery.
I have gone to write this review numerous times over the years and finally thought I would post this as a form of catharsis. My father hired Camelback to do a major move back in September of 2020. My father is a veteran and retired nurse. He is not always the most amicable man to interact with but that does not excuse people stealing from him. There will be some caveats to this assessment as I do not know what was said between my father and the company, any discounts applied, or the total price of the move.

I will not recommend this company for moving. Recommended by my realtor which they had a VIP Partner Program but it's nothing about being VIP, false advertisement! What actually Edwin said, it was the same price if you move on promotional dates or during week Monday – Thursday except first and last two days of the month. And after I booked with 2 movers, I had asked if they would come at 10 am and Edwin said "no" they would be there 7:30 am - 9:30 am which was not working for me.
I want to apologize for the frustration you experienced with scheduling and that our service did not meet your expectations regarding pricing. At Camelback Moving, we take pride in being transparent and straightforward, and it’s clear we missed the mark in this instance.
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I can not believe all the positive reviews! Am I just this unlucky?!?! I am so upset that it took me a while to even be able to write this review. I knew I was taking a chance not buying the insurance - but at the same cost of the movers I just could not afford it. And I thought - how bad could it be?! It was bad. So bad. My hope in writing this review is that I will save one person from going through this experience. Almost every piece of my furniture was damaged. Pictures enclosed.
When the movers first got to my house they were very nice and they worked hard and fast. When they were moving my stuff into my new house they broke my tv stand and 4 ceramic glass decorations. I understand accidents happen and they told me if they I called Anthony then he will take care of me. Well I still left them a nice tip assuming I would have been taken care of. I had over $200 worth of broken stuff and after weeks of not hearing anything back I called and they sent me a check a few days later.

It’s daunting trying to pick a moving company. We looked to our realtor for a recommendation and he suggested CM. They were communicative, seemed honest and experienced, and were reasonably priced. Day of our move, they showed up on time, prepped our house and furniture to avoid damage and were fast but careful. Also friendly! I definitely recommend!

Camelback Moving did an excellent job moving my entire 3 BR House to another home located in Midtown PHX. No items were broken, they were professional, and all around good people. You're offered two sets of insurance via them, or can use your own homeowners/renters insurance. This company is extremely honest. Camelback Moving deserves every star on this 5 star rating. We used them just in the last couple weeks for a short distance move that included a few days of storage. I don't recall all the names of the guys who packed or delivered but every one of them gets a 5 star. They were professional, polite, and efficient. Let's start with the office folks.
