Not Your Husband Moving Corporation

I was really hoping that this company was going to be a good solution for my family who cannot move our own things because of disabilities. Unfortunately that was not the case. It seemed fine during the process at the beginning. However, Anthony in the middle of this picture decided that getting into our private food and drinks without an invitation was acceptable. He also thought that throwing the trash on the floor in the house is acceptable.

We hired NYH at no small expense so we would not have to do the heavy lifting ourselves, we are older and I have a bad back. I’ll start with the good: They showed up on time. They had a pickup and trailer. The guys were friendly and worked fast. Now the not so good. We were moving out of a 2 bedroom house in which 90% of the furniture was not being moved. However, their trailer was still not big enough to load our stuff into.

****Edit:*** after my move was done, I went home and noticed extensive damage to two of my items. When I reached out to NYH for help, I was informed that apparently I signed something that said I don’t care if they damage my items. I was not given the opportunity to read the disclosure verbatim, and the mover only mentioned that it would “beat the clock” and save me money. I don’t understand why these liability waivers and agreements weren’t sent before the movers arrived, as is standard for most services.

Unbelievable trauma and financial loss. Never paid even 1/3 as much as with them and never before had movers fail me and tell me the reason they couldn't finish and had to leave early but still get paid was because they got all they could into their truck and they only make one trip. They had a truck the size of an 18 wheeler! They told me they don't stack stuff and it's whatever can fit in the one layer. And they refused to move my boxes and suitcases. For almost $1000 and they didn't pack or unpack.

Didn't stand by either quote and charged over $1,400 more than quoted to move 3 1/2 hours away in state. They also charged $200 for the truck to sit overnight because the movers were double booked that day We ended up renting a UHaul to finish moving. Guys who moved were amazing, however Tyler and the owner Chase Tice are uncommunicative and dishonest. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am a senior and my daughter a recovering alcoholic and they promise discounts for both but you don't receive them.

I had a decent experience until I saw my drawer cracked and had no follow up on the movers hitting a door frame at my old home and getting charged from my landlord for it. I followed up a couple times with the company and they stopped responding. My friend and I both witnessed the door frame getting hit. No big deal, that's why I went with a company who has insurance. But the drawer front to my dresser is not replaceable and I'm so bummed because the who thing looks beat because of the one cracked drawer.

TERRIBLE COMPANY 😕. Yesterday I was supposed to move. Movers were scheduled to arrive between 1:00 and 3:00. They called and said they wouldn't be here until 4:30. The storage facility closes at 5 pm. I was upset and disappointed but graciously allowed them to reschedule to 9:00 a.m. the next day. They showed up at 9:10 a.m. today. The movers were pleasant and I was quite nice to them and the driver wanted to confirm the estimate.

Update: While the owner claimed that he would have my precious statue fixed by professionals, this has yet to happen after weeks. I filed a claim with bbb.org, where this company has a C- rating, and was told after weeks that the company never responded to the inquiry. Check their rating at Yelp and other places. It definitely tells an interesting story. Will update again when I hear back from other places that I am working with to right the wrong.
