Dose Moving and Storage

This company is sounded like a great deal when I looked up their website on yelp. Had awesome reviews and their price seemed fair $155 per hour with no additional fees(they don't tell you there is a minimum of 2hrs by the way until the person shows up with the paperwork the day of the move) so I decided to go with them. I lived in a 780sqft apartment on the second floor with elevator access that's a few steps away from where my apt is located.

Do not use this company! They completely destroyed my patio furniture and gas grill. This was supposed to be an indoor storage facility , but when I receive my gas grill, the drawers were full of bougainvillea leaves and flowers and one of the wheels was broken off. My patio furniture was completely broken. They send you to a third-party claims company which makes it impossible to submit a claim. The submission process is so frustrating.

This is quite delayed since I posted it a while back on Yelp and forgot to place it here. Bottom line this company plainly lied (in my opinion) through omission, be aware of asking all the questions about them. The owner was super rude and by the way on yelp her answer is that my unhappiness with their service is lack of understanding of how they work. Not even worth looking at the details. Why can we not give zero stars? Take a look at the probable rude answer from them...

The moving crew was polite, worked hard and quickly. They did a great job. However, I was not given an arrival time until the day of. Originally, they were to arrive at 10:30am. That time got pushed back multiple times, with no explanation why. Ultimately they didn't arrive until 2pm. Very poor communication-not the fault of the moving crew.

I called on 9/28 to schedule a move 30 min away. I was given 2 options of 10/1 or 10/2 at 1pm I accepted the 10/2 move for 1pm In the contract they had a window of 11am to 3pm for arrival. However the appointment was scheduled for 1pm. At 12:50 I was called by the driver to be told they were running an hour late. Due to my work situation, this is cause for concern that I may not be able to get to work on time. I called the manager of the company to inquire of there was anything they could be done.

Looking for an incompetent company? You've found it! I reserved and confirmed my move on 9/28 and gave my credit card for a deposit. 2 weeks later, I emailed to confirm that the movers would wear masks, the owner confirmed they would. The morning of the move, they were scheduled to arrive between 8:30 - 9:00am. At 9:30 when no one had called or shown up, I called and no one answered. I left a message. I also replied to the email mentioned above.

I used Dose Moving a second time when moving this past August as my first experience was good. And while I don’t like to write negative reviews in trying to give people benefit of the doubt, my second experience was poor. The crew asked on multiple occasions for tools to break down our children’s beds (they didn’t have a simple Allen wrench for one). They broke our master bedroom ceiling fan, took multiple hours too long (they charged by the hour, not flat estimate).

The Dose team members were courteous and timely. However, they did not complete the job. It felt as though there were kind people here who were good workers, but did not know how to pack up a trailer for a big move correctly. This became obvious to me when at about half way through the job, the leader asked us what else was priority in the home to get into the truck. (We still had a good amount of items in our home at this stage). We replied that everything, obviously, in our home needed to be packed up to move.
