*** MISSING ENGAGEMENT (DIAMOND) RING *** * UPDATE: November 28th, 2020 * Contrary to what Canadian Moving Services stated, the move did not go as planned, as a very personal and sentimental item went missing. 2 out of the four movers who were involved in the move took a polygraph test immediately, however the police are still trying to get the others to cooperate.
Worst moving company I have ever had. Over charged, slow at packing, broken and lost items. Double the price of major moving company and didn’t care what they wrecked. Stored our stuff in there warehouse and items came broken and lost. Had to seek a civil claim to settle it cause they deny everything. Stay away from this company. They knew they had to pack stuff and even brought the boxes and charged us for them on bill. There was only 4 movers on the last day and it was for 6 hours.
In the past I have used this company several times. Yes there were a few problems but nothing huge. On Saturday, only one of their workers showed up at 9:30 and my friend helped him for the first hour and a half. They always speak to each other in French and I am not fluent so I found that rude. When the initial quote was done I was told that I would get a reduced price at yes an estimate of 4 hours. I was told at tops $800.
So disappointed with the services that were provided last month for my parents, who are seniors. The packing process from the house went well. They wrapped the furniture very well and carefully packed the items in the truck. It all fell apart when the truck was being unloaded. The driver stayed with the truck at the loading dock while the other mover struggled to bring all the furniture and items up to the suite. Luckily we had family present to help move the furniture into the suite.
Ms Agyeman, would it be possible to modify or delete your review since we did refund most of the move cost and I thought we had a resolution on this. Thank you.
Booked movers on May 9th for a job on May 21st and emailed prior to confirm arrangements and I also got call from Eric with a final confirmation the day prior with no indication that they would not show up and when we tried to call we were left with automated voice mail text that said "not available due to no reception". We had 2 days left to clear out of our home and had to hire an additional company that cost extra last minute (May long weekend) to move us from our home.
Not happy with the service, two guys helped us move, one was very nice and treated our belongings with respect. The other (short french guy) was not so respectful, I saw him throwing our stuff and kicking it. We also had damage to a chair and the stair railing in our brand new house. It took weeks of numerous phone calls for this company to address the damage in a fair manner. I truly regret not using the moving company we had the first time we moved.
I am in the process of moving with this company and I look forward of providing my experience about them after the move is completed. At this point I have a small unsolved issue and by the end I will then know if they take advantage of people honesty or not. I am on disability so let's see if they are honest people .
I think you have the wrong company. We are in Edmonton. Can you please verify your bill to make sure. We are not Canadian Moving Systems nor Canada Moving.
Not sure why the reviews are so good. When we moved from Alberta to NS, they lost a priceless tapestry that was wrapped in a rug. Didn't pay for the price of the products, and definitely didn't try to find our stuff. Will never use them again, and definitely will not recommend. Just use a UBOX.

We recently used Canadian Moving Services Inc to move our belongings from Edmonton to Hamilton, and we could not be more pleased with the experience. I booked Canadian Moving Services in Edmonton, to move my condo contents and vehicle across Canada. This was an extremely smooth process and all my dealings with everyone at Canadian Moving Services was exceptional. Everyone provided prompt, efficient, friendly service and everyone delivered what was promised. A special thank you to: Jackie who gave a very accurate estimate of costs, resolved any minor glitches along the way with humour and efficiency and who responded to every request promptly.
Fabulous! I cannot say enough good things about this company! If you are looking for a mover search no further! When we decided to move I did a lot of research (as I always do) as to my best bang for my buck as well as quality and service! After looking into a handful of large moving companies I decided on Canadian moving services and we are SO glad we did! Jackie came to our home to give us an estimate; she was so great to deal with and even gave me a garantee the weight would be within 10% of the estimate!
I was very happy with CMS for our recent move. They were recommended to us which is one of the reasons I received a quote from them. I received 6 quotes for our move (from larger companies and smaller, local companies) and CMS was by far the more reasonable. They didn't try to charge you for all the "extras" (eg. use of wardrobe boxes, moving mirrors, etc). We had a lot of stuff and so decided to take their flat rate price (first company that had offered me this option).
