I was moving from my small bachelor apartment, Cargo Cabbie was a local business and I wanted to support that. The movers showed up on time, were VERY respectful of my belongings, hard working gents, polite and chill and were honestly the best movers I've ever hired. The ability to rent the moving containers and purchase other supplies while booking my move made life a little easier. The trucks are the cleanest around. The issue: my quote. Very in-depth process, lots of questions and numbers delivered on my part.

We requested packing and storage service from this company at the last minute which we were grateful for at the time. I received an estimate for the work and then was told, while they were on route that a charge from Etobicoke to Scarborough was going to cost $150 just to get them there. I sent photos prior to receiving the quote, had the team pick up and have to return items "that were not a part of the items captured in the pictures" and then refuse others for the same reason.

I spent an entire morning trying to call them , fanilly when the girl answered I explained to her that my place was flooded and I needed to move my bed and couch to storage so it doesn’t get damaged. She said that it would be no problem and not to worry . She said they have crew finishing up soon and they would come once they done. She was suppose to call me back in 15 because she needed to confirm with her manager. 3 HOURS LATER I’m still stuck in my apartment waiting for her call .
Hi Kim, We take complaints like this very seriously and have conducted a thorough investigation on the matter to find out exactly what transpired. After speaking with all of our moving coordinators, we could not determine who could have possibly taken your call.
Tried to contact many times (7 phone calls). Drove to the shop, knocked on door no response. Called all numbers posted on the location, no answer. The "owner" phoned back after I left a message expressing my disappointment apologizing. Do they really have no one in their entire shop to answer a phone call or our s knock on the door? Gratefully I was only looking for boxes not their moving services ..
Hi Nick, I wanted to address the recent feedback you left regarding The Box Shop's business hours. I understand that there may have been some confusion regarding our Saturday closure.
They caused me 2 days delay on my move-in date. After I confirmed a date/time they gave it away. Then I confirmed a second date time and they gave it away again and then preceded to tell me how they're so busy servicing other customers. Waste of time.

We recently moved from a downtown Toronto to mid-town and decided to give Cargo Cabbie a try. We loved the idea of using plastic moving bins and the drop-off was quite easy (although they did re-schedule as they were running ahead of schedule so I left work early to go home and meet them). Our move is now complete and they were supposed to come last Friday to pick up the bins. It's now Wednesday and the bins are still in our living room.

I’ve used CARGO CABBIE once or twice in moves. I’ve made across the city. Last week I called CARGO CABBIE and asked them for a quote. Everybody was nice enough. CARGO CABBIE turned up spent two hours moving furniture, wrapping furniture at some point they cleared an old modular sofa that I have that my dogs effectively use as a dog bed and saw four or five moths.

We moved during the new year's and we contacted multiple companies for a quote. Cargo cabbie stood out with their careful evaluation for what turned out to be a very accurate estimate. Krissy communicated proactively asking for pictures of our place, reminded us to extend elevator booking time, checked for walking distance between the elevator and our unit/lockers, recommended the best moving time considering traffic and days of the week.

SUPER IMPRESSED! Forced to move during the once-in-a-lifetime pandemic in the middle of winter, which was causing a LOT of anxiety. Hired CC based on their reviews, and they did not disappoint!! Communication was excellent, and even the CEO Javier randomly answered a call, and he was incredibly helpful and patient with all my questions! The moving team - led by John - were friendly and super-speedy; didn't try to up-sell me on additional moving supplies or add-ons, and were completely honest with what I needed.

This is, BY FAR, the best moving company I have ever used. Right from the start in dealing with Amanda, the staff were all kind, respectful, helpful, accommodating and so friendly. I have had some horrible experiences with movers so did a fair bit of due diligence prior to booking. The Cargo Cabbie movers were so lovely and personable. I felt totally comfortable with them. They were on time, super fast, thorough shrink wrapping the delicates.

My wife and I were anxious when it came to picking the right moving company for our move.
