Cento Family Moving & Storage

Moved me from O'brien Florida They packed up my Rattan lamp, 3 step stool plus all the boxes that were already packed. When it came to moving me, a senior who had my stuff in their warehouse, when they moved me into my new apartment in Deland, Florida they lost my 50+year Rattan floor lamp, my stool and a few boxes with heirlooms of my Mom and Grandma fur stoles, my gloves, scarves and boxes of precious things. I had lost my partner of 18 years and this was very emotional for me.

I was very disappointed how our complaints with our move were handled with the owner. The movers did not deduct the time for the break the movers decided to take from our old house to our new one. The movers also told us that the initial inventory that we gave them, a 3rd mover should have been scheduled and since they only brought 2, my husband had to act as the 3rd mover in order to complete the move faster. They estimated 4.5 hours and it took 8 hours.

Unless you enjoy paying a company that shows up several hours late for their scheduled moving time with little explanation, damages the walls to your NEWLY BUILT HOUSE, damages or loses parts to your furniture, and takes almost no accountability for their mediocre customer service, I would not recommend hiring Cento Family Moving & Storage for your moving needs. I'll spare going into lengthy detail (though I could almost write a short novel about our previous misadventures with them).

We heard of this company on the radio. When they got to our new house with a full truck, the driver took massive chunks out of our brand new driveway, saying he wasn’t used to driving the larger truck and didn’t realize he couldn’t negotiate the slope. Ok, it happens, we tipped them anyway. They immediately called their supervisors. Cento didn’t call or give me any refund. I only wanted my driveway fixed. For MONTHS I waited. I emailed and was told they would send someone out to fix it. Crickets.

Over a month ago I called several different moving companies to get price quotes and information. 1 company I called said their truck wasn't large enough, and 2 other companies said they could accommodate all the furniture I told them we owned. I chose Cento Moving because they offered a fair price and were available on the day I needed. So I paid the deposit. In total I told them we had 54 pieces of furniture to move and was told they would send their largest truck.

I used this company because of the high reviews. Bad idea. This is my first review and please don't use this company, pay more elsewhere. If you want facts here are facts 1. They tried to upcharge me but I paid attention to what time they finished, one of thw guy lied and tried to say I went 20 mins over the time. 2 I literally drove in front of the truck and they drove wayyyyyyy below the speedlimit so they can burn time. 3.

Worse overall experience ever. Gave me an estimate based on pictures and assured me it was accurate. Angelo, the employee who did the estimate seemed offended when I suggested they performed a physical inventory to insure the estimate was accurate. Original estimate:$5026. It turned out they had underestimated by almost $2,000. Actual charge $6,900.

MOVED 30 MILES , IN THAT SHORT DISTANCE, TV WAS DESTROYED, CHAIR WAS BROKEN, GLASS SHELF BROKEN, 3k BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR DENTED, SCRATCHED, AND HANDLE BROKEN. 2 HOLES IN WALL, MOLDING TORN OFF FLOOR. 3 APPOINTMENTS MADE TO ACCESS DAMAGE, WITH A NO SHOW.. ..NO CALL.... MOVERS TOOK PICTURES OF DAMAGES TO SEND TO THE "BOSS." I ASKED IF DRAWERS COULD BE REMOVED, WAS TOLD IT WASNT NECESSARY AND DRESSERS WERE TURNED ON END AND HARDWARE BROKEN, ITEMS FELL BEHIND DRAWERS MAKING IT UNABLE TO CLOSE DRAWERS.
