I chose this company after reading the many positive reviews but had a very different experience. Maybe the positive reviews are for direct moves (which mitigates the issues I experienced) but moving+storage was not pleasant. 1. Make sure to number your boxes (they don’t, so you should). I have several missing items from my old kitchen area (thankfully not hugely valuable but presumably in the same missing box). 2. They are quick/efficient but do not pack with much care.
I found this place to be helpful when they were open now they are closed. The 425 w 23 1C address that they have listed is a residential building and the staff that work at the building said they moved but they don’t answer their phone or emails and have no actual location. They have my stuff and I have no way of getting in touch with them to get my belongings back
DO NOT HIRE!!!! They delayed my move by 4 hours and then did not answer my calls. They then did not show up and did not call me back whatsoever. By far the worst service I’ve seen from any business.

Donovan and team was professional and pleasant from start to finish. Great with scheduling, ON TIME, careful and quick. Chelsea took a lot of stress out of a crazy move. Will definitely be using them again.
We have used Chelsea for 3 moves both local and long distance. This is an outstanding company. Very responsive, very careful, on time, pleasant people. Naomi in the office is terrific!! Victor as well. Highly recommend. Wouldn't use anyone else. UPDATE: We have now used Chelsea for 4 moves. This one moving from NYC to Boston. Donovan and the crew were there on time on a Wednesday. Packed up a 2 bedroom apartment and piano without hassle or damage and were in Boston at 8:30 on Thursday morning.
Chelsea Moving & Storage Company was a great experience for me! Their staff movers were extremely diligent and professional. What I admired most is that they handled all my items with precision, care and diligence. They are easy to work and communicate with, and I felt a level of security with them that I haven't felt with others. A must check out as they are reliable and great at what they do. A definite loyal customer now, so glad I was referred to them by a good friend.
We can't say enough positive comments about this moving company. We had a particular crazy move out-of-state with not only a full 3-bedroom apartment, but 3 storage units. Donovan and Naomi came up with a realistic plan and the entire crew executed everything beautifully. We were so pleased with their professionalism and responsiveness. We knew we were in good hands. Our possessions arrived safe and sound and on time. This is the third time Chelsea Moving helped us to move. We highly recommend them. Top notch!
