Scheduled for 9 AM. They rolled in at 9:40 and they started my clock at 9:30. The guy in charge spent half the job on smoke breaks, complained that my furniture might be too big to move (again — you are a MOVING COMPANY), and barely touched a single box himself. Then had the AUDACITY TO PRESS ME for a tip. Two of the three guys they sent had absolutely no business being in this field anymore. Too old, too slow, too tired — moving at a pace that I was paying for by the hour.
DO NOT USE!!! Used them in 2015 and they were great. Used them March 2023 to move 10 pieces of furniture, they stretched it out to 3.5 hours, then didn’t credit me my deposit. Initially said they would return my call, since then I have either gotten a voicemail or rings endlessly with no answer.
I will never recommend this company to anyone else! I recommended this company to my brother based on me using them in the past, and I HIGHLY REGRET IT! The time frame they gave him was 12-3pm. My brother lives on the 3rd floor of an apartment building and was moving into his house. As a convenience for the movers, my brother took ALL of his belongings (from a 3 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor) to the 1st floor so they would not have to walk up and down 82 stairs.

Crescent movers moved my boxes quickly and did not break anything, although I was threatened by one of the movers after I paid and gave him a tip. He actually cornered me in my apartment and verbally harassed me for giving him “too low” of a tip and refused to leave until I paid him more money. It was a terrifying and ridiculously unprofessional experience. I called the company, which decided to refund me for the price of the tip.
We recently used these movers and I will say they were really bad. The movers were unprofessional and seemed like they were in a rush to get things done without taking anything we had to say into consideration. They decided that all boxes had to be stored in the basement even though we had labeled them specifically. Took us a while to figure out where everything was. I was not impressed with the movers attitudes and one mover seemed to be focused on their tip rather than quality of work.
Not sure why we paid them when their crew spent the whole time swearing at my wife in Spanish and assuming we couldn’t understand. Between that and their sheer inability to read clear labels and follow simple instructions, and the flat out lies told by their estimator, it was not a good experience. The foreman demanding a tip was the icing on the cake, he didn’t even give us a chance. STAY FAR AWAY.

We booked Crescent Movers a week before our move. They sent 2 people to move our large furniture less than 10 miles. They gave us the lowest estimate. Our movers, Tony V and Nelson, were very professional and efficient. They arrived on time and they communicated well before arriving, while loading, and while unloading. They were done within 3 hours. The final cost was $120 less than estimated. All in all would definitely recommend.

Mike that set up the initial phone call with me was patient and knowledgeable and followed up right through the day of the move. The four gentlemen that came were professional, worked quickly, and took the time to care for our furniture and made sure it was taken apart and put back together in a careful timely manner! They were honestly the best we couldn’t be more pleased and will use them again in the future!

It was my first time using movers so I was a bit apprehensive, but Crescent made it smoother than I could have imagined! Luis and his team helped me move out of my third story walk up, and had to deal with a horrendous parking situation down the block from me. Despite the obstacle, they moved super quick and didn’t damage anything in the process. They never complained and were so kind, transparent, and genuine. I got quoted for 3-5 hours and it ended up barely being 3 hours.

The recent moving experience was exceptionally demanding I was a little stressed; However, Mario and his team from Chicago Crescent movers demonstrated remarkable punctuality and efficiency throughout the process.
