The rating breakdown
Google shows 18 ratings for this business. Below twenty, a percentage swings too far on a single review to mean anything, so we don’t publish one. 4 of those are one or two star.

We moved from NC to France. We aren't new to international moves. This is the worst. They broke things while packing and told us they would be repaired, but that never happened. They even made us unpack about 40 boxes so their "professionals" could do it. Their "professionals" are hamfisted clowns. For instance, a hand-carved, hand-rigged model of a schooner was wrapped in packing paper and taped tightly, which crushed the rigging and then placed in a box under linens! It's ruined.
Truckers beware! Got here at 8 am for a 9am appointment. It took until after 1pm just to get backed into the dock. It takes about an hour per truck to unload, and there were 5 trucks already here. Nice people but very slow. Lost my next 2 appointments.
We hired City Transfer to move my elderly parents after they were displaced due to eminent domain for the I-540 project near Knightdale, NC. This company is listed as an approved mover by the North Carolina Department of Transportation and promotes itself as a crane and rigging service, so we expected a professional and careful experience--especially given the complexity of the move, which included household goods as well as a welding business with heavy equipment and machinery.
Chuck, Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the stress your family experienced during this move. Moving is inherently difficult, especially under the circumstances of eminent domain.

Great service! I have used City Transfer multiple times over many years from complete home to home moves with storage, office furniture moves, and others and I have always been extremely pleased. Their two man crew that recently completed my last move were polite, courteous, and knowledgeable - setting up and connecting my big screen TV and power reclining sofa, and making sure both were working properly.
Responsive and great customer service. A tree fell on our house during a storm and they came out and removed it no problem.
High Point University student. City transfer is the ABSOLUTE BEST! Picks everything up puts it in storage and moves you back in. Lived on a third floor walk up and without them it would have taken days to move in, with them less than a few hours. All the workers are kind and helpful! I wish i was around longer than 4 years just to give them more business!
