Don't use this company if you care about your stuff. We moved over two weeks ago, and thought we were in good hands. A crew of four showed up, and quickly started packing the truck. I started to notice that they were not paying attention to our careful labeling of things that were fragile or shouldn't be stacked, and should have spoken up more, but it was a hot day, and we were moving from one walk up to another and appreciated their help. The crew worked hard, but they were sloppy.
Clean Cut provided a quote, changed the quote after arriving (conveniently after ALL of our boxes were already on their truck) and then refused to finish the job when we wanted to discuss the new quote, which was about $400 more. Their movers then gave us a different quote -- another $200 dollars more than the number the owner, David, gave us. David told them the job was off, and they threw our boxes off the truck, against a wall. David refused to speak with us on the phone.

Do not use this moving company. When it comes down to it they do not care about your items and primarily care about the speed at which they complete the move as they jam many into one day. I used them on 3 separate moves (almost 4) and they broke furniture on two of those moves. I gave them the benefit of the doubt during the first move, but it was also a piece of furniture that was irreplaceable. After the other occasion, they had broken a glass door to a family heirloom.
I moved with this company twice. The first experience was obviously ok, but the company has since gone down in quality. They promised 3 movers but only 2 showed up until they reached the moving destination. They broke at least two items and the company charged me $30 more for one extra item. They also have no clear pricing policy as they charged me more on the second move for a destination that was much closer with the same amount of items as the previous move.
My bed frame was damaged during my move. The movers were careless. I was extremely disappointed. I elected to use movers because I wanted my things moved with care and that was not the case here. NOTE: If your items are damaged during your …
Dear Keila, We provide, like every other moving company in NY state, standard liability insurance free of charge. If you needed/wanted full value insurance that could have been purchased prior to the move at an additional cost.

I have used Clean Cut Movers for my last three moves over the years, and I have found them to be the most professional, communicative and and cost-efficient movers in the city—and I've been apartment hopping in NYC for the last 25+ years. For example, a quote from a competitor for $400+ was $290 at Clean Cut, NO PADDING/ LATE ADD ON FEES. Most movers estimates were $400 minimum!!!! Also, the guys are SO quick, every time—in and out. Never using anyone else.

This was my third time using Clean Cut Moving and I could not be happier. Each time I have worked with Josh and he has been extremely professional, fast and has taken immense care of all of my items. I am extremely appreciative of their prompt communication (throughout the booking process and also with certificates of insurance) and the speed of the move. Could not recommend more!

I’ve been using Clean Cut Moving company since 2022, and I truly can’t imagine working with anyone else. In NYC it’s so hard to find a team you trust—let alone one you want to stick with year after year—but this group has been consistently incredible. Daniela has always been my main point of contact and she is wonderful to work with. She’s responsive, organized, and makes scheduling and logistics feel easy, even when my moves have had multiple stops or changing timelines.

I’ve used Clean Cut Movers for six moves now since 2015, including my most recent move out of Brooklyn Heights, and they’ve been great every single time. Josh, Johan, and Cristian have been true professionals in every move — careful with your belongings, efficient, and always go above and beyond to make sure you’re satisfied. Pricing is great too, especially given the level of care and service you get.
