We had a terrible experience with Cleland Brothers. We used a POD for a military move, something I've done at least a half-dozen times before. We had about 7,000lbs of household goods and the movers frequently complained about "how heavy everything is." All the boxes were packed small and appropriately, no single box was over 40lbs. Boxes were clearly labeled as "fragile" and "glasses" and they were placed on the bottom... with books and electronics on top.
This company was absolutely TERRIBLE. If I could give ZERO stars, I would absolutely do that! They did not come out to our house to do a walk through and view the contents. Instead, the owner just based the estimate, size and time on the online listing. Big mistake. They could not fit all of my contents (even without washer, dryer, fridge, stove, etc) into truck which left me hanging before closing. Then overcharged me for their error.
My mother is 64 years old and disabled. They showed up to help us move only to then refuse because of a few small piles of cat poop (that we had no idea were there and could easily be cleaned up in just a few minutes). My mom, in chronic …

Sorry to hear that you weren't satisfied with your experience. It would have been beneficial to reach out to us during or shortly after your move so that hopefully your concerns would have been resolved.
After a site visit and written quote, I was given excuses for 3 months of why the job wasn't completed. Most unprofessional! I called another company and had the job completed within a week!

They kept us informed through the process. On time and very efficient. Plan to use them again.
I used Cleland Brothers twice, once in 2020 and again in 2024. I would not trust anyone else with my pianos. They moved my 520 pound Yamaha piano up 21 steps in 2020 and again down 21 in 2024. I was amazed to see four men actually lift it off the ground to put it on the piano dolly. They also moved my Kawai Digital paino, my Hammond organ, and a curved glass china caninet. The moving crew was polite and professional, and they work fast.
Adam, David and Brad of Cleland Brothers in Boardman just delivered and setup my new baby grand piano. They were extremely careful, skillful and cordial. They did a great job and I recommend without reservation.
Dear Mike, Rae and the entire crew at Cleland Brothers, I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude for your outstanding customer service. I really appreciate that you took it upon yourself to have my mother's antique vanity mirror replaced after cold weather broke it during storage and that you delivered it directly to her recently. She was SO THRILLED to have her vanity restored as it is one of her prize possessions.
