Clutter Storage - Seattle

Clutter is a third party delivery carrier used by Living Spaces to deliver orders. The delivery of my furniture has been rescheduled 4-5 times collectively within the past 2 weeks. Each time they reach out to reschedule the delivery, it’s because they’re booked for the day - this makes no sense. How are you booked for the day when you reach out to schedule the day in advance? Communication is almost non-existent with how difficult it is to get in touch with anybody.

If you're drawn in by seemingly low rates PLEASE READ - the overall total of moving my items that fit in a garage/small studio apartment cost over $900 (closer to $1000) including mover pay. Mind you, I DO NOT have a couch, TV stand, actual bed frame, dressers, or any large furniture at all and my apt was right next to the elevator. I thought this would be a cost effective option, but around each corner there are hidden costs i.e.

Pay to get your stuff broken!!!! Never use this company, ever! I stored my stuff with them for 6 months and they broke 4 things. I had a perfectly beautiful Ikea kitchen Island that I took really great care of, the movers literally dropped it Infront of me. When I opened it to assemble it the wood was broken and they are denying the claim stating that it is composite wood and not covered under their warranty. I had a lamp that was undone and they broke the wire, $85.00 lamp and they are only giving me $6 for it.

One of my biggest regrets in life is choosing clutter for my moving. It took 8+ hours for my apartment to be moved when I had previously packed everything. It cost around $2000 just to be moved to their storage facility. For context I had full service movers pack and move all my belongings 1 year earlier and it took them less than four hours. Unless you very specifically label your items it is difficult and expensive to retrieve them.

Over charges, you can’t access the storage, you have to pay every time you want something from your storage because you cannot access it yourself. Customer service will hang up on you if you’re late and you try to schedule a pushed out apt. Most of the reps barely speak English. They are not about the customer I had a unit they were charging me 600 even I told them I wish to no longer use them they offered to drop it down to 260 300 with insurance. Worst company to deal with if you ask me. My unit is 10’20.

At the end of this none of the "convenience" provided is worth the final bill. There are fees everywhere. You think you're saving money and they make it all easier, but you'll find you have to keep shelling out money just to get your things. I also had several things broken during the move out.

If I get quoted an appointment time of 8a-4p and happen to miss the truck at 8a, it should be obligated to return by 4p. The employees should not be allowed to clock out before then. It's bad business practice, and the fees you charge are ridiculous.

I was very disappointed with how my reservation was handled. I was only informed 24 hours before my scheduled move that I couldn’t store my car, and then I was charged a cancellation fee. This feels like a scam and a way to charge people unfairly.
