They quoted me a certain amount and once they had my stuff in their storage they raised the prize pretty much holding my stuff as collateral. They promised indoor storage and several of my items stored with them were rusty after delivery and you don’t get rust from keeping your items indoors and in an AC controlled environment as promised and charged for. They lost several of my items as well. The moving guys were great. My issues are with the sales and management people.

We’re sorry about your experience, but we were not the company that handled your move. Your review actually describes a move handled by another company we’re familiar with, which has a very similar name and operates about an hour and half south of us. They even market themselves as us sometimes.
We are a military family in the middle of a PCS move and were assigned Coastal Van Lines approximately two months ago. We were very excited to have a local company that had excellent reviews. Throughout the process, we were assured that everything was on schedule, and we even received a confirmation email for our move the day before. Our movers were scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning, but at 2:00 PM today—the day before the move—we received a call informing us that they would not be coming.
The sales person that got me to switch to their company flat out lied to me to get my business. I'm a single disabled woman that needed a service that would also unpack my items as well as pack them. She said they would absolutely do that, well they didn't. Left boxes stacked in my apartment that were too heavy for me to move. Plus the fact that the estimate she gave me ended up being half of what it actually cost me. I hope your company chokes on my money.

From the moment the crew arrived, they were professional, punctual, and ready to get to work. Every member of the team was pleasant, respectful, and courteous throughout the entire move. They communicated clearly about the process, worked efficiently, and never made us feel rushed or like just another job on the schedule.
Leo and Doyle with Coastal Moving did a fantastic job with our military move. They were professional, efficient, communicative, and extremely clear about expectations throughout the entire process. The crew was organized, respectful of our home and belongings, and very straightforward in the best way possible, no confusion, no runaround, just honest communication and hard work. They were also incredibly understanding and helpful during what can be a pretty stressful process.

Blaze with Coastal Van Lines did an outstanding job with my move. He helped move all of my belongings into a storage unit on the third floor, and the unit was barely big enough to fit everything. Despite the challenge, he packed the unit perfectly while making sure all of my items were protected and organized. He worked efficiently, handled everything with care, and provided excellent customer service throughout the entire process.

It was such a pleasure having the Coastal Van Lines, with two crews move my husband and me over two days this weekend. James(Little Jim), Sam(Yosemite), Anton, Doyle, Leo, and Greg were very professional and made the chore of moving on a HOT July weekend so much better! Sam was part of the crew for both days so he gets more of a shout out from me! Thanks for the hard work guys you were awesome! Highly recommend!
