Cobra Van Lines Moving System

Do NOT Trust These Companies. This Was A Complete Scam. I want to make it clear that I cannot, in good conscience, recommend any of the companies involved in this scheme. Vantage Movers hired Cobra Van Lines Moving Systems (which operates under Cobra Van Lines LLC) — a company that, according to FMCSA regulations, is not permitted to transport household goods. To make matters worse, Cobra Van Lines then subcontracted the move to USA Van Lines and another unknown company.

They lost my brand new Dyson vacuum, never opened from the box. Lost my floor mat and broke a jewerly mirror stand. I have been going through the claims process and they have expended there legal amount of review time for my claim, still no response.

They were late to our job. They came at 8 pm and insisted we honor the pick up day because it was the very last hours of the 48 hour window we were quoted and they worked for 2 hours. We were forced to honor a $200 w/pet hotel stay that first night because it was non refundable...and we could have stayed in our bed.

For the love of God (and mostly for the love of your belongings), do NOT use this moving company. They deserve negative stars. I would rather have personally carried each of my belongings on foot from Michigan to Massachusetts than have used this company (and it would have been faster, too). To keep things as concise as possible: this company found a way to scam and defraud us at every single step of the way. We were initially given a quote of $3200 for our move based on a VIDEO of our apartment.

If it were possible to give negative stars, this company would receive it! From start to finish everything was chaotic. I was given an estimate for the move and storage ( $4000, and storage $380/month). At the time of the move, the movers stated that I had more than expected, so it would be ~$8000, which meant that I had to pay $4000 to start and $4000 at the time of delivery. The storage fee was $1050 per month for 14 months.

Reply: I said I wouldnt use them because they are associated with you all. It is a complete lie to say you all tried to contact us multiple times about a shuttle when you never did, and still the fact that you tried to charge us for a shuttle when it was never needed in the first place is completely shady. Since being told from the beginning that it was not needed and the truck literally pulled up right up to our driveway, so explain how a shuttle was necessary?

When the movers arrived to load my belongings, they tried to increase the price by $3000. I told them to leave, & I would rent a truck & move myself. They then honored the original estimate from the broker, Amerisafe, but warned that if I exceeded the estimated 3001 cubic ft, I’d be responsible for the difference.

I hired Safe ship broker online and they Hired Cobra Van Lines for moving my belongings total destination was 1500 miles. Initial price was 3100$ when i signed the contract. Then i paid 4000$ for no reason.It’s pure scammers. Their broker will tell you different price and Cobra van lines will increase it. Delivery they promised was between 2-12 business days but it took them 31 days. Then the day of delivery driver Jose calls me and said they can’t go through bridge clearance, ice on the road all kind of excuses.
