We just “completed” a move from Woodbridge VA to Central TX. In the 19 yrs of military service, this has been the worst move my family has endured. The team in Woodbridge VA swore they would take care of us with packing and loading us up. I didn’t realize my wife and I would have to stand over each packer and ensure they wrapped items to standard to prevent items from breaking on the move.

The movers showed up 3 hours late and promptly locked their keys in the truck. They came without any blankets to protect my furniture. After my cross-country move was loaded, the company lied and said that the truck was delayed due to weather. When the lie became untenable given there was no major weather in the country and the delay was now four days, corporate finally admitted that my possessions had just been sitting in a warehouse for two weeks.

They subcontracted my move through von Paris. The guys from von Paris were great, but Coleman charged me double their initial estimate because their subcontractors drove down from Annapolis. Why do I have to pay for travel time that you subcontracted out? They also made me pay for the rest of the movers day and the return trip to Annapolis. This turned what was quoted to me as a 3 hour, $450 move, into a 6 hour, $900 move.

Beware of this Company, they tell you a deadline date for delivery and once you pay them & move, you're on your own survival until they're done using the Truck "YOU" paid for!! My 5 grand children had to sleep on the floor & their parents had to go shopping to buy back stuff they already packed on the truck! Meanwhile the Truck unloaded all their belongings into a Warehouse, 2 weeks later they said they had to pick up another Mover Belongings unto "SAME" truck along the way...One BS story after another, first…

This was the worst move I've ever experienced and I will never use Allied again and I will strongly recommend against this company to all my family friends and others. Total lack of coordination left all my furniture loaded into crates without protection. Moving truck arrived late on both loading dates and unloading date. Loading was planned for one day but size needed was grossly underestimated and required a second day of loading on the eve of settlement of the property.

Our driver called me while driving down I-95 to confirm his ETA. While driving, he also texted me pictures in the form of screenshots from his Facebook. I was terrified to know he was texting and using social media while driving a huge truck. I told the driver over the phone that we had a severe food allergy in the family and because of that, I would need him to wash his hands before handling our furniture and boxes and also wear shoe coverings while inside our home.

I was told when I signed with them that items in the dresser would not be taken out. The movers took the items out of my dresser anyways and threw them in boxes without any order and emptied the night stand when that was even smaller. Boxes were numbered but I wasn't given an itemized list of boxes to match the numbers. The list I have just tells me a one word item is the boxes like "clothes" but the box may have something else in it.

We had an absolutely infuriating experience with this moving company. Before the move, we clearly informed them our shipment was 1,500 lbs. Yet movers Katia and Margarita arrived with packing materials for only 600 lbs and refused to get more. Instead of being prepared, they blamed us for “having too much stuff”, even though we told them our shipment in advance. Many of our belongings ended up unpacked in our own boxes. The handling of baby items was shocking.
