Coleman Worldwide Moving

Simply awful from the beginning to the very end. First, our coordinator Keith Mattingly recommended packing ourselves to save money. What he failed to mention is if you pack anything yourself, it will not be covered if broken during the move. On moving day, the driver hit my neighbors car and denied it (despite me witnessing it).

The sales arm was VERY persistent and I gave in and used this company to move furniture from one room to another in my home, as well as take dining room furniture to a different location. The 2 movers that showed up tried to talk me out of moving the furniture all together and were overwhelmed with the job. They ended up calling for backup.

We hired Coleman to provide “white glove” moving services from one state to another. In providing those services, Coleman was required to exercise the appropriate standards of care in loading, handling, transporting and unloading our property. It failed to do so, as described below. To protect our property, we paid a third-party to build custom crates for many of the higher-value items. All crates and boxes were labeled “This Side Up” and/or “Fragile” where appropriate. Coleman loaded our property onto box trucks.

Baaaad, bad. We weren’t going to complain, but we keep finding stuff that the movers did and getting mad all over again. I have a lot to say about our experience. Very long story short, we used them twice. The first time was to put stuff in storage, the second to take things out. The first experience was okay except one of the movers got sick and had to lay down in his car for the entire move.

Coleman Allied movers in Louisville Kentucky was the WORST movers ever. They did not do anything they promised. They said all furniture would be wrapped it was NOT!!! They did not help box anything up like I was told they would. So the things I left out to be packed they just threw on the truck. They came in at my new house with my antiques over their head saying see it's not to heavy for me to carry by myself.(NOT SMART)!!!! They broke nine pieces of furniture and denied breaking a cabinet.

I don’t even know where to start on how bad this experience was. The complete lack of respect for both our time and our belongings was astounding. First, they did not show up until 2 pm on the day they were supposed to pick up our things. They were supposed to arrive between 9 and 11 am. We had taken off work and sat around almost all day waiting on them to arrive. Then they kept packing until almost 11 that night but still did not finish. It was supposed to be a one-day job.

The movers failed show up each packing day until 9 or 11 am (except for the driver, who worked several hours alone). I should have known then it would be careless service. I used almost 4 packs of post it notes to labeling over 100 items storage vs apartment, as the mover advised. I now have several key pieces missing and who knows where in storage (including my TV cord, kitchen appliances and the glass top to my coffee table) yet had to make trips to storage to put away random knick-knacks that were never meant…

If I could give a negative I would. The movers showed up at 10 am, we have a 2 bedrooms a office, washer , dryer, treadmill, living room. They waited till the end of th night to take out the two heavy China cabinets. They got one of the armoire 1piece down the steps. At 10:30 pm they said they could not get the top piece down of the other one down and putting 2 holes in the wall. So after 13 hours they were finally done. So I had to leave a $2000.00 piece of furniture behind. The move in only took them 7 hours.
