Coleman Worldwide Moving

Perhaps one of the worst, most stressful moves we have ever had. Contracted with Coleman for a cross-country move from Peoria, AZ to Salem, NH for Feb of 2025. 1/2 half of our belongings were being moved to a storage unit, the other half to an apt, while we waited for the completion of our home. The packers were fine, but we were very concerned when the driver showed up. His behavior was erratic, well beyond the point of quirkiness.

Gave me an estimate. I got a lower estimate from a competitor and gave them an opportunity to counter, which they did with a lower price. The day before delivery to my new house they called stating I had Mis estimated the volume of my contents and it was going to be over a thousand dollars more. I objected stating they estimated the weight not I, and I had given away several rooms worth of content since their person had been to the house to create their estimate.

The company charged us $1750 for an additional auto transport that never happened. We have called them 4 times. On the first 2 we were told it would be taken care of and never was. The last 2 calls have gotten no response. Now we put in a dispute with our credit card co. The move itself was fine. Their customer service sucks.

Great load up on the moving van by the guys: Sal, Jorge, Fred and Andy!! Hustled, organized, and professional. Mike was on top of everything for the coordination and is always available directly by phone and text. The communication is imperative!! Additional commentary: so it’s 5 months later and I was able to go through my storage unit. Several of my boxes did not arrive. It’s going to be on me because I wasn’t able to check off all the boxes as they came off the truck.

Moving with Coleman Allied involved a lengthy process with issues arising during loading, transport, and unloading that affected the condition of many items. Boxes showed mud stains and physical damage, with some items missing and workers handling belongings carelessly. We experienced damage to multiple belongings, including a large LCD TV, and faced difficulties with insurance claims.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience. I’m not even sure where to start. Everything was great before moving day started. People came to my house early to get things moving and placed everything outside in the hot sun. The semi wasn’t even there yet. Once it arrived, it turned out people before me had more stuff and my stuff didn’t entirely fit. My stuff was cooking in the sun for hours before they could make space in the semi. Overflow was collected that same day and it stayed in Phoenix for over a week.

I do not like leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately since I received a review request I feel like I should to warn potential customers. In a nutshell: while they did end up helping us pack, the entire experience was beyond unacceptable. I spent hours trying to chase people down. The initial agent who did a walkthrough promised us professional packing for all our fragile/valuable items. When the packers showed up they did not have enough materials and ended up using our bedding, clothing etc to pack.

Hired Allied/Olympian (their at the time - not surprised they changed their name given the number of bad reviews all over the internet!) for a cross country move in April of 2022. Received a binding, full replacement value insured quote from Jeanie S, and after they had picked up my items tried to solicit me via TEXT MESSAGE for additional funds.
