In their own words
Horrible move and horrible experience. From the moment the driver arrived with an attitude to one of the crew members puking the whole move leaving our restroom a mess, to yelling in the middle of the street and making a scene in the neighborhood to loading the entire truck crooked and lopsided. We had MANY broken items, also missing items and the driver was the absolute worst. This was my second cross country move with mayflower and to know we were repeat customers- we were treated very poorly.
If I could give them negative rating I would. They messed up the entire move. They packed my home, didn't wrap everything properly and stuffed my items into a truck that did not have adequate space. The driver informed me that the pickup prior to my home had more items than expected and then I had to have a second truck come for the overflow items from my move. The second truck came on another day and time, which was rather unplanned.
They have very friendly nice packers. However, the communication is horrible. Customer service appears to be non existent as I reached out and got no response through email or direct through their website. I would recommend going to the nearest unemployed gathering spot and bringing in day labor before I would use this company again. Over a month and repeated inquiries and still no response!
I did not have a good experience with Dircks/Mayflower. While initially the experience seemed like it would turn out positive, in the moment the performance of the company made all the difference. When i first contacted Dircks, i received a really good quote. At the time we were getting ready to sell our house, and weeks later, had it under contract. Unfortunately, that sale fell through.
I have moved many times with little to no problems with the moving companies. This is the first time I have used Mayflower & I will never use them again. The driver was very rude to me & his crew. They packed my boxes & furniture into the moving van so poorly that when it arrived at the other end many of the boxes were crushed and or splitting apart. I have moved 10 times and have only had one item broken from my packing & have never had damaged boxes.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, Kitty. We sincerely apologize that your experience did not exceed your expectations, as is always our goal at Dircks. We have looked into the details of your move in order to best address your concerns.
Dircks is a horrible moving company! We have moved many times within the states and twice overseas (Germany and Korea) and without doubt we can say this is the worst move thanks to the terrible job done by the packing and moving crew from Dircks! From the beginning I was very concerned the way they kept packing/not packing, but they kept telling me it was going to be “fixed” later.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback, Suany, and sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations, as is always our goal. I have shared your concerns with our Customer Service Manager, Jose.
I called to get a quote for my cross country move of my home and 2 vehicles cause I heard good things about the company. Booked a 10am virtual survey to assess the contents of my home with Kathy and was told Keith Moore would be conducting the video survey. I then received a follow up email stating Keith could not call me at 10am and appt would be rescheduled to 1pm. Shortly before 1pm, I tried to log on to the survey but Keith was no show, no email follow up, no text, no call just a 100% no show.
Thank you for your feedback, ML. We have looked into the details of your scheduled virtual survey, as this is certainly not the norm at Dircks. We apologize that you view your experience with our team as a negative one, however, it appears that both of our representatives Kathy and Keith have left…
We had used this company before for a cross-country move and had a good experience. The second time around we were not so lucky. I enjoyed working with the original moving consultant. He was very informative and quick with responses to questions. Our moving coordinator was hit or miss. Some questions were left unanswered and the response time varied, sometimes she did not answer us at all. The day of the original move and pack was pretty seamless.

In their own words
I had a smooth experience with Dircks Moving & Logistics. When I found out I was going to be moving across the country, I called a couple of national moving affiliates. Dircks was the first to reply and the only one to actually send out a estimator for my household. I was provided a binding estimate and I booked the moving day well in advance. The online tools that Mayflower offers are super helpful! I used the checklists to ensure that I was ready for moving day.
Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to leave us a review.
Our overall experience with Dirck's was EXCELLENT! We have moved several times and this move was the best. We moved from Cave Creek, AZ to TN. From start to finish, the Dirck's team was professional, knowledgeable and went the extra mile to help meet all our needs and requests. The most impressive thing to us throughout the whole process was Dirck's cared. We experienced a death in our family during this already stressful time. Dirck's worked with us to adjust whenever possible.
I cannot find the words to describe how grateful I am to every single member of the DIRCKS team for the AMAZING customer service provided from the initial phone call to the final box unloaded. My entire family was overwhelmed by the courtesy, communication, carefulness, professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail of every single person with whom we interacted: Kathy, Ruth, Mike, Shane and his TEAM (Dominic, James and Tony!).
Wow, thanks so much for your very kind words, Kink! We will be sure to pass them along to Kathy, Ruth, Mike, Shane, Dominic, James, Tony, and your entire move team. We are so happy to hear that we were able to give you and your family peace of mind that everything was taken care of during your…
I recently hired Dirck's Moving & Logistics for a move to two separate locations. From the initial contact, to the time they drove away I was impressed with how thorough and professional they were overall. I was in contact from multiple people at Dirck's leading up to the move date, including the day of, as well as after everything was completed to ensure it met my expectations and was fully satisfied.
Thank you very much for your review. Hope to see you again!
