The guy hung up on me, after telling me the price went up from his last estimate by double. Then sent me to voicemail everytime after. Called HQ twice and never got a call back from my local office. ABSOLUTELY A JOKE. would rate 0 if I could.
One of the worst experiences moving I have ever had. They were an hour late and never called. We had to call the office to find out where they were. They came unprepared with no moving dolly. They took dressers and TV stands with items still in them and tipped them completely over on their tops. They stood my couch on its end and broke the arm. It took them 5 1/2 hours to move a one bedroom apartment with three guys. It was 2 hours over what they quoted us and offered nothing for how slow they moved.
They scheduled a time to come out and give me an estimate and never showed up. When I called back they said they had zero availability for the next 4 months. They wasted 3 hours of my time. Very unprofessional.
They were not professional at all!!. There were like 7 guys was suppose to pack what needed and wrapped...didnt do. Just threw the stuff in 2 storage bins..if was stacked properly would'nt of had to get another bin. Lost the remotes to a sectional couch 6 months old. Never wrapped the couch..never stacked it..boxes threw all over...night stand on it side on the ground scrathed up..sofa table with 2 stools now scratches..( Ethan Allen..new) Grrr. Vases got broken...left one in the garage not wrapped nothing.

I booked an appointment to get a quote on hauling junk from a recently acquired property. I had used them once before and found their price to be the lowest of all quotes hat I received. While completing that job, they did break a sensor off my door, but other than that nothing else bad. When I called earlier in the week for this new quote, they gave me a window of 9 am to 11 am for someone to meet me to see what I needed.. They were to call 30 minutes ahead.

UPDATE: It's been three weeks since this review, 5 months since the damage. We spoke to the owner of COLLEGE HUNKS shortly after this post, and he said he was going to try to find a way to rectify the situation- perhaps by finding someone to fix the glass. WE HAVE HEARD NOTHING ELSE FROM HIM! Beware of using this company for anything other than hauling junk because that is how they treat your beautiful furniture during moves!

BEWARE!!!! Our move was absolute nightmare!! I've moved over 30 times in my life and never had such incompetent movers!! This space isn't nearly big enough to list everything they did wrong but I'll post the highlights. First, they SEVERELY underestimated the time and supplies needed for packing, as well as the size of the truck needed. They showed up on packing day without enough supplies, and as they walked in stated "we have another job today so can only stay 2 hours".

So called to get a basement clear out completed, call a local number and was told they would be out on July 31st between 3 and 5 pm. Almost immediately received a call back after booking this appointment by Tom the GM who said they were overbooked and could he reschedule for Monday from 12 to 2. I agreed. At around 1:00pm , Tom calls to say they are running a little late and it will be between 2 and 4, while this is convenient, I agree.

Incredibly well-run company, both on the national level and the local affiliate (Cincinati). Immediate response from a live person if you call either level. Immediate email confirmation when you book. Easy to change/cancel your service. They text and call 30 minutes before they arrive. Professional, fast. Very good pricing—I shopped for least expensive. If you’re put on hold when you call, you are offered a call-back, and they do call you back. But enjoy the music while you’re on hold.

Best money we've ever spent. My husband and I hired Hunks to move 5,000 pounds of pine tongue-n-groove for a cabin we're building about 90 minutes away. Robert and Maverick were our moving Hunks and they were great! They met me at the lumber yard and worked with yard staff to safely load the material. They were good sports about getting to the cabin with doesn't have a physical address and maneuvering the truck. And they carefully unloaded all that pine safely and carefully, placing it right where we needed it.

The team we had today was incredible. Really the whole experience was. From talking with the owner, who was super responsive - and then the GM (Tom) calling to confirm everything the day before - and then the crew calling today when they were on the way and asking if they could come early! Top notch. This is a tight operation from the top down. And the two gentlemen today were fantastic. It was raining so they put blankets over the dolly as they were taking our boxes to the truck.
