College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Dallas Central

BEWARE! I scheduled a move out this past Saturday. They were scheduled to arrive 10-11 AM. I had the freight elevator for my apartment from 10-1PM so it was imperative they get their on time. After calling multiple times and sometimes not getting an answer, they said a job was running late and they are trying to get in contact with their crew. It was then 11:30 and still no indication if they were going to show up. We decided to rent a UHaul and move ourselves. I cancelled the appointment.

Im not one to write reviews, but I have never been so disappointed in a service. I just got done with a move into a small one bedroom apartment in Dallas, Tx (737 sq ft). I had 5 pieces of furniture to move that should have taken no more than their 2 hour timeframe. The movers arrived at the END of their two hour arrival window and then proceeded to take 3 hours to move my furniture.

Utiling them for loading turned my move into a nightmare despite the fact that upack provided very convenient transportation service. They were not college students. Did not provide names in person or on the documents, could not be traced when people unloading needed input. I was charged over 900 for just loading a one BR sized move . While I paid for a trailer for long distance move after spending 3 inefficient hrs charging me both for loading and hauling junk, half my belongings were left in my apartment.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! I am usually not one to write a bad review, but my experience with College Hunks has been awful. It started out great with the scheduling, but the move was when it all went downhill. The movers damaged more than $3,000 worth of furniture and shrugged it off when I tried to point it out to them. I specifically asked for some pieces to be wrapped and they said they would, but never did. They dragged my cream couch cushions on the ground leaving large black marks over all of them.

I normally do not leave reviews but I would like to warn others. My partner and I moved from states away and had a reservation with these movers from 4:30pm -6pm. We drove 12 hours here and we waited all afternoon and they did not show up. We called multiple times and they kept sending us to voicemail. It is now after 8pm and we were finally able to get support on the phone. The support staff let us know that we cannot get a refund even though it was their own fault that they did not show up.

Terrible experience. Kept changing the time we had scheduled. The two guys they sent were completely unprepared and inexperienced. Did not know how to move furniture, how to wrap it, or how to get in or out of house or into the next house without help from us. Had very dirty hands and gloves and ruined a new mattress with dirty hands and dirt from truck. Sweated all over the floors and nice furniture and did not have water, towels or clean shirts or gloves to avoid damage to house and furnishings.

Horrible! Stay away! These guys moved my daughter and broke the glass to her desk. They also had a box marked FRAGILE fall off a dolly and everything inside was broken. Lastly, they took her desk chair from the apartment she was moving out of and it never arrived at the new house. The “mover” told her he wheeled it down to the truck but forgot to actually put it on the truck. When they went back to see if it was still on the curb, it of course was not.

Worse company for moving services— I scheduled my appointment for 8:30am. At 9:00am, I received no confirmation or a call or anything of the sort regarding an ETA or if my appointment was still on. I call at 9:05am and the representative says that she will get an ETA on the movers. A whole hour passes and at 10:17am, the movers call and tell me they are 30 minutes away. At 11:21, they called to say that they are at the gate.
