NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I ENCOUNTERED SUCH A PROBLEMATIC COMPANY!! For your own sanity do NOT use this company. At first when I called for my service they were extremely nice and had a very reasonable price. I explained how my apartment was and what would be moved, they ensured their guys can handle it. After the movers arrived I told them I would meet them at my new place.

We got a quote for this job to be 3 hours with 4 guys coming to move all our furniture and 20 boxes. When the guys arrived the said this is more like a 4.5 hour job, which we had no problem signed and adjusting for. These 4 guys moved at snail pace and it took them 3 hours just to wrap our furniture. We were moving our furniture into a pod and as they were putting the furniture in there was so much extra space that there was no way the way they were packing everything would fit.

They may be good at moving apartments and junk, but not businesses. I planned the company move over 3 months ago. They were called to assess the contents and to give an estimate. they were called again to ensure that all parties were on the same page. During the second walk trough, they gave a totally different estimate. We were told 2-26 feet trucks and 6 men would complete the job. They booked it for 7 hours and stated that it would probably take less time due to the number of staff on the job.
Completely unacceptable. Hired this company based on reviews, had 6 total items to move. A total of a 10 minute drive from A to B. Only 3 and 3/4 items from the manifest arrived. Scheduled a second attempt, at extreme inconvenience to me and my family, was told it would be “free of charge”, as if I don’t already pay for the service. Window to show up has passed, no contact. This has been a complete nightmare, my house is sold and closed… this company screwed me hard.

Im giving them a 1 star because Steve who comes to your house to give you the “worst case scenario price” will tell you something to reel you in and give you a totally different price in the end. I was told that it would take 6 hours and be $2500.00. It ended up being 6 hours but the price changed to $3700.00 without any reasonable explanation. Only that they added two more guys to the job with out even telling me. Just be warned that they will do the same to you and force you to pay their upcharge.

We had not moved for over 26 years and suddenly were faced with moving across the country. I was a little nervous because we had a bad experience before and now, I am disabled, and would not only need movers to move boxes and furniture, but to do the actual packing for me. I interviewed three separate companies. Josh G. was the representative for College Hunks. Josh was fantastic. Like the others, he had me walk him around to show him what we were taking and what we weren't.

I can’t remember all but one name of the movers but honestly, the guys that I had were phenomenal they handled all my things with care. They’re very respectful and worked very quickly. The only downside was that I was moving into a storage unit and I should’ve asked if the blankets came with the move or did I have to pay for them and the answer is I had to pay for them so FYI if you’re moving into a storage unit, but from one place to another, should be absolutely no problem.
