College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving North Denver

I'm not one to write reviews but at this point, I don't know what else to do. I had a horrible moving experience with this company, and there has been no effort to reconcile on their end. To start, my movers arrived 5.5 hours later than their scheduled time, and took double the quoted time to complete the move (and that's with mine and my partners help). Things happen, that is something we could get over.

Called to get a quote. The sales person informed me they don't do in-person quotes; I had to leave the call for another reason but: 1. Call quality was horrendous. I was working with several companies that day, I know it wasn't my phone. 2. I received an immediate text offering to do exactly what I'd just been told wasn't possible. 3. I've received emails daily soliciting my business. Clicking the link to unsubscribe leads to a 404 error. I never consented to email follow-ups.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I scheduled a move for August 6th. I was told the arrival window would be between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. I called the office at approximately 3:45 to check on the status of my movers. I was told that they had a job run a little late and would be arriving to my place in less than 1 hour. I called again at 5:00 p.m. to check on the status of the movers. I was once again told that their move had run a little bit late and they were on their way.

I’m sad to leave a bad review because my movers were very pleasant and respectful throughout the move process. Everything seemed to go fine, I paid the bill, and left a nice tip. It wasn’t until shortly after the movers left that I went into the living room and saw that my 55-inch TV was damaged. I filed a claim, and one of the movers even called personally to apologize, which I appreciated. However, after the claim went through, I only got $94 back for my $400 television that is less than a year old.

I've used College Hunks twice in the last few months. The first time was to remove some furniture to be donated. They busted the dining room table because they dropped it while putting it on the truck so it could not be donated. The second time was to move some bedroom furniture from one house to another. They started out great but as time went on they were slow and got cranky. They scratched the wall in several places and busted a leg off of the dresser.

Absolutely terrible experience with these guys. It started off terrible before they even arrived at my home. I specifically rescheduled my work appointments during the two hour window I was told they would arrive. I called the office after they were 30 minutes late, I was told I would get a call immediately from the lead. After another 30 minutes I was called and told they were running just a little behind and would arrive in the next 30-45 minutes.

A very terrible experience. The crew was not very professional, did not plan ahead for how to get all of our stuff in the truck (even though they had someone walk it before hand) so they barely got all of our large items and ended up leaving multiple car loads of stuff we had to get later, couldn’t figure out how to get our kitchen table apart, did not have anything to protect our new carpet, broke our couch…. The list goes on. And then to top it off we had a horrific experience with them moving our treadmill.

Overpriced and subpar experience. My apartment relocated me due to a leak in my old unit so I had to move to a new unit on the same property. One would consider this a relatively easy job. Nick and AJ rushed the whole time like they had somewhere else to be. They tossed my dishes and kitchenware around with no regard for breakage, damaged my desk, and when they reconstructed furniture they didn’t even bother to tighten things all the way so I had to re-do it.
