Eden's Moving Services Inc.

I am filing a formal complaint against Eden's Moving Services regarding a recent move that resulted in significant property damage, missing items, and extremely poor customer service. I hired Eden's Moving Services to move my household belongings with the expectation that my property would be handled with reasonable care. Unfortunately, my experience was unacceptable. During the move, the following occurred: Two televisions were delivered with broken screens. My dresser was damaged.

Movers damaged our stairs with their dolly. We reported it immediately with photos and video. Instead of owning it, the company demanded multiple bids and a visit from their own handyman before admitting fault — a stall tactic to delay paying, not a real investigation. We bought the crew lunch and tipped generously when there were in the home. Didn't matter. When it came time to fix what they broke, they ducked. Repairs done, paid out of pocket. Never again. Call anyone else... these guys are a joke.

I strongly advise against using Eden’s Moving Services for any cross-country move. We had an extremely disappointing experience, including expensive sports equipment that cost more than the move itself and multiple items we paid extra to have professionally packed arriving brutally damaged or go “missing”. When the truck arrived in Miami, the driver got into an accident in front of us, and it was immediately clear our belongings had been tossed around multiple times - the truck was in complete disarray, with boxes…

I want to go on record and say this was the worst moving experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve moved nine times in the last 12 years. From start to finish, the company was extremely disorganized. On Wednesday, I was told the movers would arrive either Friday or Saturday. I requested Saturday, but they said they could not guarantee the day. They did, however, promise to provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Instead, at 11:20 a.m.

Avoid Charter Van Lines and Eden Moving Services at All Costs! If you’re considering using Eden Moving Services or Charter Van Lines, let me warn you: this company is a broker. They subcontract your move to a transporter—in my case, Eden Moving Services—and the results were a disaster. My move from Colorado to Texas was handled with zero care or professionalism. My furniture was crammed into the truck without any organization, and my belongings were treated with blatant disregard.

If I could give a negative review, I would. First, the gentleman who gave me the price quote informed me the wrapping of my two tv’s were taken care of by the movers. When they got there I was told they only “wrapped “ them with moving blankets, getting them wrapped for transport for more money. The mover actually asked me if I read the fine print on my contract! Second, I had to leave my box spring and mattress, the mover said I had too much stuff for the space allocated.

I highly recommend to NOT go with this moving company. Multiple items were broken. The TV stand, the TV, coffee table, console table, as well as many cups. Now we have to file a claim and spend even more time waiting to get reimbursed. This had everything to do with how the movers handled our items. They spent hours wrapping our items, only to deliver them broken. This is beyond frustrating and again, I highly recommend to NOT go with Edens.
