Absolutely horrible experience with Compass Moving Company. They showed up 1.5 hours late and then proceeded to milk the clock. I was quoted around 3.5 hours for the entire move and it ended up taking that just to load. Mind you I wrapped everything myself in preparation with the exception of one dresser and 3 couch cushions. I took down every tv and organized everything for a seamless move.
Horrible experience!!!!!!!!!!!! I hired compass moving to move my stuff from Wisconsin to Nevada, I asked them before I hired them if they could simply take a bed out of my room and put it in my garage and put my new bed I was moving in my room they said yeah sure no problem we will put your stuff anywhere you want in your kitchen, room whatever. I counted all my boxes 50 boxes and 28 totes and misc. 78 pieces total they charged me 3 thousand dollars for this service!

Definitely not a good experience to say the least. I only left a one star because at least one star is required to leave a review. I hired compass moving through thumbtack. I was quoted 4 movers, and a 26'-foot box truck. My appointment time was at 9am. Beforehand, we were told that we are given a one-hour arrival window. Fast forward to 10:55am, I called to inquire where the team was because no one had arrived nor called yet.
If I could give -5 stars I would. I hired them a couple weeks ago to move me 40 mins away. Which took them an hour and a half to get to. I explained everything prior to the move on what had to get done. Problems: 1. They were an hour late. 2. They didn’t bring tools to take the furniture apart. 3. They move like snails to the point that I had to help them. The whole idea around hiring moves is so I didn’t have to do it. 4. I had to take the furniture apart and put it back together once unloaded. 5.
By far the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. Calloway was misleading from the beginning he was just trying to get a sale and every time I spoke with someone from this company, I always received new information that impacted my move that I wasn't aware of. I would never recommend or use this moving service again. Horrible experience

We recently used Compass Moving for our relocation from East Windsor, NJ to Berkeley Heights, NJ, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. The team arrived on time, immediately assessed the scope of work, and got to it with a level of professionalism and efficiency that impressed us right away. Every piece of furniture and every box was handled with great care, wrapped and secured properly, and then loaded into the truck with precision.
The team arrived exactly at the scheduled time and called me an hour before to let me know when they would be there. Everyone was super polite, calm, and professional. They handled all my belongings with great care and worked very fast and efficiently. All my furniture was carefully wrapped and protected. They even helped me disassemble and reassemble my bed and set up all the furniture in my new apartment. I also really appreciate their transparent pricing policy.
