I got evicted by my county and this is who they hired. Very rude. Left a lot my stuff behind broke a lot of my stuff packed stuff I didn't want packed lost my laptop. If I had a choice I'd definitely go with someone else. But I was not …
Although everyone we dealt with at this company was pleasant, it turned out to be a ripoff. First of all, the estimate we were given was half of what they charged us in the end. They charge by weight, not flat rate--and they certainly take advantage of that. Don't be fooled with the line they give you that they do this to try to save you money by only charging for what you have. This is how they make their money.
I waited a year to write this review because I wanted to be fair and not speak in the moment from a place of anger. I used this company twice in a year. The first experience was excellent, especially since the new home was a nightmare experience. The next year move was not pleasant. The difference was the moving crew I was sent. I did not receive the same crew from the year before as I requested.
The movers from Riley & Sons who were working at 400 Walnut Street on Friday, September 28. They were completely blocking the sidewalk with a ramp and were I told them they can't do that and needed to move it, one of the guys got major attitude! He said I "needed to ask" which was very condescending, like I'm a woman so I need to kindly ask this man to do stop doing something he should already not be doing.
I had used this company to move since I had heard the name for years. The guys that came out were very nice however my two most important pieces were unable to fit in my new place. Bc they took extra time figuring this out..to no avail…I …
They broke my headboard and ripped my sectional. They wanted to be paid completely for their job ($2200) but they’ll take their time “getting back” to me for my claim. I tipped their movers $120 and bought them breakfast and lunch for 2 …

In their own words
The whole Riley team was extremely professional and fantastic. We used them to move out, store, and then move in to new home. They were clean, fast, on time and easy to work with. Everything in a 4 bedroom house came through in great condition. I can't recommend them highly enough.
My move was seemless and stress free. Family owned company and the owners are responsive and helpful. I had not moved in 39 years so I had lots of questions ! They are very clear with their rules for packing, etc. The guys assigned , Aiden, Steve and Eddie, were fantastic! Careful, competent and cheerful. They were recommended to me by a friend who has used them several times, for moving and storage, and she said "never an issue'. I highly recommend them to anyone needing a mover.
Riley and Sons Moving moved me into my new condo yesterday. It was a two-day proces. Over the 2-day period, I had five different workers. Each worker was excellent. They were professional, courteous, and very accommodating. They did an outstanding job packaging my items so that they would not be damaged. The move went smoothly. I would highly recommend using this company for your moving needs. My parents lived in Florida for a number of years.
Big shoutout to Steve, Victor, Pat and the rest of the mighty-mighty team from Riley and Sons for not only packing up our house but doing it with the precision of ghost hunters in a haunted mansion! Our old, spooky house threw every creak, shadow, and eerie vibe at them, but they handled it like pros—no ghosts (or dust bunnies) left behind. They even managed to make us laugh through the chaos of moving.
