In their own words
Cougar moved us out of our condo temporarily into storage while undergoing a renovation. The people were very nice, BUT the packing and stacking was totally unprofessional. They stacked boxes labeled do not stack, packed breakable items against the cardboard box sides without protection in between, broke museum-quality ceramics, wouldn't file insurance claim,copied their attorney.
Very efficient communication prior to the moving day, including the paperwork, the estimate, and the time of arrival. When it came to the actual move, the unloading was immediate after I gave directions on what was going, however my roommate was told his worn mattress was gross, that the team was "pissed off" that they had to work under such unhygienic conditions and they drove off with a number of heavy pieces sitting on my condo sidewalk.
I was going to let this go, but after 6 months in storage, I'm unpacking and the amount of damage to my furniture and the broken items is incredible. 3 young men moved me, only one behaved professionally. I watched them unload the truck, drop things, break things, flip boxes upside down. Total disregard for anything marked "glass" or "fragile". It was a total nightmare. At one point I stopped one of them and asked why he had zero respect for my belongings.
I called them to get a quote on moving and nobody never returned my phone call that's not very good when you have a customer calling for a price on moving

I had a great moving experience with them. Very responsive during the quotation process and overall great communication. The crew was prompt and very polite. They were very careful with my belongings yet remarkably quick. With very reasonable pricing and good service, I couldn't ask for more. I'd use them again!
Cougar Moving was absolutely AMAZING! Riley & Darrel were the best team, and we couldn't be happier with how our moving day went. They were communicative about when they would arrive so we could prepare, and they took care of our stuff as if it was their own. Even though most of our big items were already wrapped, they helped wrap the rest of our furniture before putting it in the truck.
I have high standards when moving as I am very particular about keeping my items in excellent condition, so I did extensive research on movers in the CHS area. I called over 20 companies and between professionalism and pricing I went with Cougar - and I’m glad I did because they did not disappoint! Taylor was very responsive during the quoting process and answered all my questions. He immediately rectified a small issue and went out of his way to make it right.
This company goes above and beyond any sort of expectation you will have surrounding a moving company! They are quick to respond, friendly, on-time and always provide outstanding quality service. They are looking out for your best interest, whether it be moving your child into their first college house, or relocating from one place to another. It's extremely important for me to support local businesses, and Cougar Moving Company is truly a Charleston gem.
