In their own words
This by far is the rudest company I have ever encountered. Very unprofessional. Hired them to come and help with moving boxes and furniture. Granted we may not have been the most organized people but that’s no excuse for coming in to a home and constantly Badgering how we aren’t prepared to move and we should have read the contract. They broke a very expensive piece of furniture that belonged to my grandmother.
Do not ever use this company. We were ripped off, items that never showed up, items left behind that we had to pay shipping for. Even gave Robbie rugs for free that he could use in his home in FL. Still missing items, and no return phone calls, not even an apology for their mistakes . DONOT USE
I went with this company because of Google reviews. Do not be fooled by a high rating. We had issues from the packing and unpacking including damages to very expensive items and household damage. Initially Robbie responded and seemed as if he were going to resolve the issues and now he will not respond at all. We paid several thousands of dollars only to incur costly damages and no response back.
I feel like I've been robbed. When I called Low Country Moving on May 21, I was told that they were terribly backed up, but they did have an opening on June 9-10. All of the other companies were also backed up, so in order to save our place, I paid $509.60 on May 21. We were lucky because another company called on 5/23 to say that they had a cancellation on the following day (Saturday, 5/24). Of course we grabbed it. The move began on Saturday and was only completed today, (Tuesday, 5/27).
Katherine, you received in writing our refund policy the same day that you booked with us. Additionally, we wanted to help you out and discuss a refund option. You hung up on us and didn’t let us finish our point the very minute we mentioned our policy.
I called and had a piano moved through this company. They arrived on time to pick up the piano from a storage unit. When they arrived at my house, they had began dragging the piano on what looked like a dolly. They had drug the piano up the driveway, into the house leaving gouges in my hardwood floor. When I saw them, I immediately told them they had been scratching the floor from just dragging a heavy piano and they dropped the piano on the floor, leaving large dents and gouges.
Called this company for some basic questions while preparing for an upcoming move. The man that I spoke to was so exceptionally rude to me the entire phone call and when I said that I would need to call him back, he told me not to. Would never recommend hiring someone for a move when they are so rude- why would I trust my things with these people. They didn’t move my stuff, so can’t comment on that, because we couldn’t even get to that stage. How seriously terrible of an experience.
We regret that your recollection of our conversation shows lack of accuracy. We politely provided you with all the information you requested and informed you that we needed to see your place in order to provide you with a precise quote. You didn’t accept that and became belligerent.
Based on a lot of positive reviews, I thought I was getting a good moving company to move my furniture from one house to another 1 hour apart. Dealing with David at the office to schedule the move was an easy process. My issues are with what happened to my furniture during the move. I was definitely concerned when I saw that they did not wrap any of my furniture in moving blankets as it has always been done in the past moves. The only thing they did was to shrink wrap pieces that had drawers or doors.
We have moved several times. Never has a nightmare like this been experienced. These young men were pleasant but inefficient. Eg. A badly gouged dining room table was immediately sent for repair at their cost. In fact, the moving crew head complimented me on my honesty when I told him the gouges on a desk were old. He told me some customers would have tried to pass it off as their fault in order to get compensation. BUT....Next time a professional mover will be hired. Never has more gone wrong.

In their own words
Low Country Moving was outstanding - clear communication and pricing, timely, professional, careful with our stuff, and very efficient. Great value - well worth it. So glad we selected them.
We had Low Country Moving handle our move yesterday, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Speaking with Robi and Brian on the phone to schedule the move and get pricing was easy, communication was clear, and the pricing was straightforward with no surprises. When the team arrived in the morning, on time and at the beginning of the 8-9:00 window we were provided, all 4 of the guys walked up to me and introduced themselves, smiled, and made my wife and I feel very comfortable having them in our…
I recently used Low Country Movers for the 2nd time for my move, and while the experience wasn't perfect, it had its positives. The Downsides: Punctuality: Unfortunately, the crew arrived much later than expected, which put a damper on the moving day schedule. In a hurry to get out: In their rush to catch up, the movers seemed a bit hurried at times, which resulted in a few minor stains to furniture. I also had an hour left in the time I paid for. I couldn’t get downstairs before 3 team members were out the door.
I had the pleasure of working with Low Country Moving Specialists as the point of contact for our office move in Mount Pleasant in November 2021. They were recommended by a friend and had the best rate. At first, I was skeptical because of some of the recent reviews but I trust the person that recommended them so we moved forward. The gentleman that worked with us on moving day were Charles, Alex, & John. They were wonderful. All very professional, personable, and helpful!
