In their own words
The two guys that came out took their sweet time, they spent a lot of time on their phones. They will take apart furniture without even asking you first. Also the movers had a “too good to be here” stank attitude. Oh yeah, And they broke my TV. They sent me a check for $60 for it. Don’t go with these guys. There’s people out there that you can hire that will actually move for way less pay.
Poor experience. Quote was *way* off (we were charged double what we were quoted and the household size was accurate), probably because they insisted on using 3 guys but only had two dollies, so the third guy just stood around not doing anything, for which we paid him. And one of the guys showed up reeking of cigarettes and body funk, using our toilets in both places repeatedly and leaving the seats up.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
The crew of Leo, Noah, Lyle & TipTon arrived promptly this morning to move our piano upstairs, which was a challenging task. They were extremely careful, very courteous, completed the job quickly, & should be commended for a difficult job well done!
Honestly, wow! We just had a cross-country move completed by Bekins out of this office (Crosstown Movers in Salem), and it was the best moving experience we’ve ever had, start to finish—and this was our third cross-country move. Larry Donnelly, our moving manager, was amazing—he came out and did the walkthrough quickly and efficiently and he obviously has decades of experience in estimating a move. He gave us a range for weight that was accurate, and he was communicative and on our side the whole way through.
We recently had Cross Town movers from the Salem, Oregon office help us make our move from Stayton to Salem in a wonderfully organized and super efficient way. We needed 2 trucks and 4 guys to help us move 20 years worth of accumulated belongs and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Leo, Jonathon, Tim and Kyle were wonderfully on time, worked super hard to get things done efficiently and without any damage or breakage and then delivered everything including helping us set things up again before leaving…
I rarely make service recommendations, but this company, and the awesome crew that supported our move, compelled me to share my experience. Cross Town Movers - Salem Oregon, exceeded my expectations. Jonathon Gibbens, Matt Santa Cruz, Matt Wood and Barry showed up early, left late, and rarely stopped working during our multi-day move. The movers were patient, extremely careful, and they all took pride in their craft as they moved our personal belongs from Salem to Bend.
