Cubeit Portable Storage - Utopia

One star for how clean the cube was and the delivery man that was polite and good at his job. The safety release to get out of the unit if accidentally locked in was broken. But it was the worst experience I have had right from the sales person that downplayed the expense of it and how he kept giving me prices for things (breaking it down as they called it) never giving an actual total. To the hidden charge at the end. When I thought I understood the total cost I thought it was high but decided to get it.

Not impressed overall. The initial quote and booking were fine, as was the initial delivery to my address in Surrey BC. Organization and the taking of pertinent information after the fact was not good. We called to change the credit card information on file for billing purposes, we supplied info to call center employee.

The company originally placed the unit in a spot that was nowhere near where I wanted it. Now they refuse to come and get it until I pay for another pickup charge (I already paid for 1), and continue to charge my credit card as if my rent was continuing, even after I asked for my card to be removed from file 3 times. The customer service was terrible, telling me they 'heard me', but then completely dismissing my comments.

The cube was fine. Didn't leak at all during rainfalls and seemed secure. I'm only giving Cubeit 1 stars because of their payment policy. After using it for 10 weeks, I told Cubeit when I wanted the cube to be picked up and there was at least 2 weeks remaining that I had paid for and wanted a refund for those 2 weeks but Cubeit said I didn't notify them soon enough to get a refund so they are keeping my money and using that Cube somewhere else at the same time which is double dipping I'd say.

Delivery of box went smooth. Set up a date for delivery to the house I was moving to and everything was accepted. A month later and I was informed the date I chose they don’t deliver the containers. Should have been told that when I set up the date, not a month later after everything was ok’d. Now in fairness they dealt with the situation and rectified it to my satisfaction. However when the storage container was delivered to my new house it was dropped off while I was at work.

After my father passed away, my mom was looking to move back home to New Brunswick after selling her home. At the time I reserved this this, we did not yet have an address so I provided my own in Alberta. When I was on the phone making my reservation, I mentioned that the container was most likely going to New Brunswick. Everything went great, I was happy to be able to help my mom out by dealing with the stress of where everything is going to go, and how's it going to get there when the time came.

I highly recommend not to deal with this company ever! They provide the worst service, if one could name it so. Staff and management are absolutely not helpful and give false information about their prices. Be careful, they will send you invoice for each their move. If you decide to move forward, then they will tell you, that they are not doing this and that, and you will end with not knowing what you have paid for. Also this business absolutely not working, if you are moving from or to condo.

Love the service But ..... I have given two stars as I was not told that the yard where my container would be stored is open only from Mon - Fri between 9-5 which kinda is so inconvenient. I will need to take time off from work just to have access to the container if I need to reshuffle anything. Not sure why I wasn't provided this information, I would ask for other options at that time. Now I am stuck between losing time off work to have access to the yard.
