I would not recommend this company. The owner told us in a verbal estimate that the move from Brecksville to Shaker Heights, from a 1st floor 1 bedroom apartment to a 3-story 4 bedroom house, would take 6 hours and would cost $590 including travel. Instead, the move ended up costing twice that. We were told the moving men would show up at 8:30am, instead they showed up 20 minutes late. Fine, no problem. They did a quick walk-through and started to move boxes and furniture into their truck.
Please note some of the statements made by Mr. Lerner are not accurate he did call for a estimate over the phone we based the amount of hours the move should take on the information he provided there was a considerable amount more to move . When Mr.
My fiancé didn't want me to write this but I felt compelled to say how he was grossly overcharged and paid almost $4200 in moving costs from a 2 bedroom condo in Shaker Heights to another 2 bedroom condo in Cleveland in the Larchmere neighborhood. The distance? Not even one mile. .06 of a mile to be exact. D&D was hired to conduct a full pack and move. They used so much paper to wrap the smallest items. For example, 6 sheets of large paper to wrap a watch.
*** Update no response from customer after messages left *** Sorry to hear this the estimate was for $3800 Fred called and added a full pack this is within reason for the size of the job.
I am posting an updated review today because I am disappointed at the customer service from this business. I called several times to get a receipt for taxes. However, Suzanne at this establishment gave me the run around for two months. Now that tax season is upon us and trying to get things done; she sent me a receipt stating that they gave me a $2,000.00 discount. Makes me think further into this receipt because I did not get a $2.00 discount.

Left me stuck with a broken Samsung 85in tv damaged walls and dirty items. While the tv was kept in a temperature controlled storage unit with a king sized comforter protecting it, I was blamed for the broken tv. The tv worked when it went in and not after it made it to my home. The tv was purchased new in January 2024. Of note, all 5 of my other TVs were not damaged. Contacted the owner directly to communicate that my tv was broken during the move.

Our movers were kind, quick and efficient. However, I have discovered damage on two dressers, a desk, and end table and a house plant tree was broken in half. I guess that’s just a risk you take, though. Unfortunate because our move was only a mile away and I was very impressed with them until discovering these damages. They emptied my third floor apartment and refilled my new home in 3.5 hours. D&D is quick and efficient. They’re very affordable, too.

I asked for a quote and never replied back to schedule service. No agreement occurred and I never replied to their quote because they were not available on our desired move date. They sent movers to our empty house anyway and attempted to complain via voicemessage about not showing. Why send movers to a home when I never asked nor agreed to service? I called to get an explanation, the office clerk admitted the mistake. It's very upsetting to find out a moving truck was sent to the home without my request.
** NO SERVICE WAS PERFORMED** Can you please explain the review you scheduled a move with us we. showed up and you never canceled. We provided no Service so how is it fair to give a 1 Star review.

Prior to our recent move, we received information from many different local moving companies. My husband called several of them, trying to determine which one to choose. We were impressed with all the wonderful reviews of D & D Moving, but when he spoke with Suzanne, he knew we would choose this company. She was very professional and helpful, and later, she quickly responded to emails and questions. We had to change our move date after we had originally booked a date, and fortunately she was able to fit us in!
We moved from the Cleveland area to Warsaw In in two moves with D&D and both were outstanding. They had already moved us once before and we knew we would use them again if we could. The packers and movers were all extremely hard-working and efficient, taking very little time off and worked like dogs all day. Aaron is the best kitchen packer I have ever seen - every item wrapped securely and the box was so snug, not one thing dared to move around...he's a magician!
We used D & D to move around northeastern Ohio, an old residence to a new one. They were very nice and the office personnel was so friendly that she made me feel appreciated and valued. The owner quoted us a good price and we selected them based on the quote and information. The move went quickly in terms of our home. We had a large playset that they agreed to move that ended up being much harder to move than they thought. The movers themselves struggled and worked so hard.
We recently used D&D Moving for a long distance move from the Cleveland area to southern Maryland. They did some packing (kitchen and garage since I packed the rest) and loaded, drove goods to new location, then unloaded. The services were phenomenal. The whole process took only 2 days. They packed and loaded on a Thursday and drove and unloaded on Friday. We are prior military and have way too much experience moving. This was by far our easiest and least stressful move thanks to D&D moving.
