I read the very positive reviews here, so I hired them as movers, thinking they were professional. I trusted them, gave them a key, and they returned it, but then they took advantage of the situation to bring my boxes to me at midnight. They started at 8:30 am at my house, then we started swearing because the locker was far away and I couldn't choose my storage location! I rent a locker and I take what they give me. Very disappointed. They left with my belongings to do another move! Don't trust the 5-star rating!
You forgot to mention that upon our arrival, we packed all your belongings, and you left the premises. Upon arrival at the warehouse, the freight elevator wasn't working, and the storage space was at the other end, which is what made it take longer. And once again, you didn't stay.
Regarding your comment (Philip-Olivier Guérin), during my move I obtained quotes, and three weeks prior you knew the elevator was out of service, that there was no elevator, and that you would unfortunately have to carry the movers up the stairs. An apology would have been the least you could have done. You acted as if I wasn't honest with you, even though everything had been explained, and you decided to take the job.
I don't understand the good reviews... friends boosting the star ratings?? Anyway. Very disappointed with the service. They didn't protect the furniture. I have a leather sofa that we took the trouble to wrap in plastic film, since blankets are often not very clean, so they didn't think it necessary to put a blanket over it. They put their big, dirty fingers all over the freshly painted walls, pushed the cart carelessly, crushed a refrigerator plug, and didn't even protect my glass kitchen table.
Indeed, we didn't need to cover the sofa because you had already wrapped it in cellophane. As for the walls, we apologize; it was when we removed them that you had oiled the dowels. Sorry, you would have told us and we would have cleaned them. Thank you and have a good day.
I wouldn't say much except: $1161.25 to move a 4 1/2 apartment within the same city, and I don't have any unusual furniture... I talked to people around me, and no one could believe it!! I have a friend who moved from Montreal to Quebec City, also from a 4 1/2, and it cost him practically the same price! Moving from where I moved to cost me $565 including taxes. We're talking double here!! Save your money and call another moving company!!!
What you don't mention in your story is that you were moving from the second floor, you had furniture for a 4 1/2 apartment with lots of boxes, and we had to unplug your appliances. We unloaded some of your furniture into a rooming house and then carried half the truckload to a warehouse on the…
There are plenty of ways to communicate these days, with texting being the fastest when you have a cell phone. Saying you'll call back and then not doing so doesn't help either the client or their business. It's a shame. Good luck anyway!

Excellent service from FB Moving. A team of three professionals moved our 4 1/2 apartment to a semi-detached house. They were careful with our furniture, which was protected with blankets. We had, however, anticipated the move and packed most of our furniture and belongings. The price was competitive and no surprises. They were very courteous from start to finish, despite the challenge of moving three flights of stairs with no elevator. We will definitely use them again if we need to move.
